Well, where do I start - Firstly it is very small and not the most comfortable seating...it took about 15 minutes for us to be seated despite having a reservation. When we ordered we were told the Bao burgers were unavailable which is fine these things happen but it would have been nice to have been told when handed the menu. Secondly, after waiting around 40 minutes for even drinks, we notified the manager Vu, he checked and the order system had crashed so he offered us a round of drinks but two of us didn't drink so we felt that did not really compensate us. We ordered food again and around 15 mins later it arrived, one of my friend's orders was wrong so she had to wait again for food. Fries came out towards the end of the meal. Thirdly the food was bland, ended up putting quite a bit of siracha sauce in to give it something, barely any beef in the Pho and was just disappointing. Lastly, when it came to paying the bill the manager was very rude, we explained about our experience and he said if we weren't happy earlier when he told us our food order had not gone through - we could have left!!!! We only paid for mains - one was discounted at 50%. Oh also there was a larger party in the corner, so the manager moved a couple's table an inch away from our table with no explanation or apologies and it felt even more cramped! Also when I went downstairs, the area did not smell nice at all, I thought it was the toilet but that actually smelt better... Highlights the sweet potato fries were good and so was the Phohito drink and also a very nice waiter who took payment was extremely apologetic about how experience. I would not recommend. Save your money, time and belly...

Our food was OVER 1 hour late. And tasted BLAND. When we complained about how long our food was taking (45mins after ordering), the Manager Vu told us sorry it never went through the system and that he would give our drinks to us complimentary ...... a couple of us don't drink alcohol so wasn't really going to benefit us considering how long we had been waiting for our food and how hungry we all were.
Then when the food finally came out.....I got given the wrong order. So had to wait a FURTHER 15 mins for correct one to come out. I also asked for cutlery, which I never received too. Our side dishes also came out AFTER our mains arrived....so about 1.5hours later. Shocking. For context we got to the restaurant at 7pm and all of our food came out by 8:30pm......
At the end when we asked the Manager to remove items from the bill to make up for such a shockingly BAD service, he told us if we weren't happy before we could have left the restaurant! He was incredibly rude, difficult to talk to and definitely did not know how to treat his customers.
In the end he only removed one main ....and that was only at 50% off, he also removed our side dishes (sweet potato fries and prawn crackers - of course the cheapest items on the menu) & he removed our drinks. To be honest we should have got the entire meal for free. The food wasn't even good at all - tasted so unbelievably bland. Not to mention the horrendous service we received.
I absolutely do NOT recommend this place. There are plenty of better restaurants nearby such as Tonkotsu - it's sooo much better.
Don't bother wasting your money or time at Pho &...
Read moreA groupon I purchased in the summer was about to expire in a few days, so I decided to make use of it.
Service: The waiter came across a bit perturbed when i mentioned groupon, which I had booked 24 hours before. However, he was friendly enough after seating me and offering me the menu.
I selected my choices almost immediately, having looked through the very ltd groupon offering, but it then took 15 mins before anyone came and took my order. Staff were walking past me constantly, clearing tables, attending to other diners while im trying to make eye contact, and finally, I had to call for attention.
Food: I had the summer tiger rolls. They were nicely presented, fresh tasting ingredients, a light starter. The accompanying peanut dipping sauce gave them some added depth.
As a non red meat eater, pho was off the menu as it is made with beef stock. I went for the steamed Bao burger with chicken.
Nicely presented, and they could see I was struggling and offered me cutlery. The buns were swett and fluffy. Contrasting sweet and savory flavors from the plum ginger sauce and chili mayo, crispy chicken upon a bed of pickled shredded cabbage. Recommended. Complemented with a sml glass of cabernet savignon.
Atmosphere: it's in a busy location. Top street level part of the restaurant is small, tables close together and was fairly busy when I first came. Quite noisy, add to that loud ish background music it doesn't lend to a relaxing meal. Ok, for a quick in and out lunch. Good value with groupon, but the main menu is reasonably priced with a lot more variety to...
