Pind Punjabi — Restaurant in London

I have been going here for more than 6 years. I recommended family and friends as thought they were good people. I was so wrong. Today I went there after a while. They gave me a table near the entrance which I had no problem with. There were only two of us and everyone that exited the restaurant said bye to us as courtesy because we were closest the exit door.

We orders too much and asked for it to be packed. We waited patiently and the food never came. They told us we had to leave and we requested for our packed food. They told us that they had already given it to us. We had a disagreement and management said they had put it on out table but someone else picked it up. We told them that if they put food on our table then it is their duty to tell us the food is ready to go which the disagreed to and said it is our fault.

During our conversation one of the staff members said that another party had taken our food along with theirs and we pointed out that if they saw this then it was their duty to put a stop to it and give us our food.

Instead of coming to a compromise they tried blaming us for their failings and didnt even think of the fact that we were long standing customers.

They had a vermin problem and had to close down a few weeks ago but we still stood by them by going their today but they repaid our loyalty by making us look foolish.

I went to this restaurant today with my uncle and we witnessed a heavily pregnant woman in a headscarf and burka enter the restaurant needing to use the toilet, she asked the female owner politely if she could use the toilet, to which the owner rudely replied no it’s only for customers, the lady replied “I’m heavily pregnant I really need to use the toilet, if not I would not ask and I cannot hold it” again the owner refused the polite plea. My uncle who witnessed this then politely said to the owner of the restaurant that he will pay for a dish so that pregnant lady could use the toilet, to which the owner continued to refuse the heavily pregnant woman to use their facilities. The owner then again abnoxiously said that “she” can use the public toilet. My uncle re literated to the owner that he is willing to pay for a dish so she becomes a paying customer in regards. Again they refused, but with the perssitance of my uncle and I eventually the owner reluctantly let the pregnant lady use the toilet. This was a clear act of racism due to the heavily pregnant woman being from being black and in a hijab. We are Absolutely disgusted with this. Can’t believe racism is still going on in this day and age, no one should feel subjected and discriminated by their appearance, colour, caste and religion. I strongly don’t recommend this...

100% Genuine review

Today, I visited Pind Punjabi for the first time. I live in Hayes but never got a chance to visit them. I had some guests, so I decided to go there. However, I must say that even my cooking is 100 times better than theirs. All the food was tasteless and it didn't seem fresh. The mixed grill was absolutely awful - the chicken, lamb ribs, and lamb kebab were like rubber. You couldn't even chew them. As for the main course, all the dishes had tasteless frozen gravy and fresh meat was not served. The atmosphere was beautiful, but the seats were very uncomfortable. I understand it may be part of their furniture theme, but they should have opted for soft seating chairs instead of hard ones. If someone is old or suffering from back pain, I would advise against going there as it may worsen your condition. I have personally experienced this. The waitress seemed to prioritize cleaning other tables rather than providing better service by asking customers if they needed help. I had to call her three times to get assistance. The tables were also missing tissues and we were given dirty plates. Overall, it was the worst experience. It may look beautiful, but they serve awful food and provide terrible service.
