Title: Disappointing Experience Due to Rude Barista and Inconsistent Service
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experiences at Pret A Manger Chiswick, primarily due to the rude and disrespectful behaviour exhibited by a female barista. On multiple occasions, I have been mistreated and spoken to in a derogatory manner by this particular staff member.
During one visit, I was asked by the same female barista if I was deaf simply because I was not waiting in the "right" corner, which was an unnecessary and offensive comment. Additionally, despite clearly labeling my drink preference as coconut milk due to my lactose intolerance, I was served a drink with regular milk, leading to severe discomfort and digestive issues.
Furthermore, the quality of service I receive is consistently subpar. Whether it's failing to fill my drinks to the top, neglecting to properly shake my hot chocolate or ruby cocoa resulting in a tasteless beverage, or exhibiting an overall lack of attention to detail, the level of service provided is unacceptable.
I reached a breaking point when I had to confront the barista directly about her rude behavior and mistreatment towards me. It is evident that she harbors disdain towards me, creating a hostile and unwelcoming environment. As a paying subscriber, I should not feel intimidated or unwelcome in a place where I should feel comfortable.
It is disheartening to feel as though I am not valued as a customer and to experience such unprofessional conduct from a member of your staff. Read moreI live locally and always go to this high street Pret. However today I had a bit of a bad experience. After gym I went there to get an iced latte and a pastry as usual then proceeding to the waitrose nearby. Before going home, I went back to Pret and ordered a raspberry cooler, but it seems the barista recognised me. Guess what; he made my drink without any proper regard to standards. He poured the cordial first, then ice, and turned on the tap and let it overflow quite a lot before turning it off. He successfully made an overly diluted drink for me. Normally, the raspberry cooler should have some freeze dried raspberry inside as well, which this one didn’t have. I don’t understand why he had such an attitude, I am a Pret member and pay 30 quid a month to get drinks by scanning the barcode. If he doesn't like the fact that I got another drink after 30 minutes has passed, then he should complain to the higher ups about the Pret policy. I feel this treatment was spiteful by someone who judged me to be "overusing" my membership when I'm totally lawful in ordering drinks...
