I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Prince of Wales, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! The pub has a charming and inviting atmosphere, with a blend of classic decor and modern touches that create a cozy yet vibrant environment. The warm lighting and comfortable seating make it a perfect spot for everything from casual meetups to special occasions.

The drink menu is extensive, featuring a fantastic selection of local ales, craft beers, and creative cocktails. I opted for a pint of their house ale, which was rich and flavorful—definitely a highlight of my visit. The bartenders were knowledgeable and eager to offer recommendations, which added to the overall experience.

While I came primarily for the drinks, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food menu. I tried the fish and chips, and it was excellent—crispy batter, flaky fish, and perfectly seasoned. The portion was generous, making it great value for the price.

The service throughout my visit was exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about providing a great experience for their guests. They checked in regularly without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed.

Overall, the Prince of Wales is a fantastic pub that offers a great atmosphere, excellent drinks, and delicious food. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a night out with friends or a quiet evening, this place has something for everyone. I can’t...

I recently dined at Prince of Wales and was absolutely blown away by both the exquisite food and the enchanting ambiance. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by an atmosphere that seamlessly blended elegance and comfort, creating an unforgettable dining experience.

The menu offered a delightful array of dishes, each prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. From the first bite to the last, every dish was a culinary masterpiece. The flavors were rich, diverse, and perfectly balanced, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs.

What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service provided by Maya,as i recall. Her attentiveness and warm demeanor made me feel like a valued guest throughout the evening. She anticipated my needs and ensured that every aspect of my dining experience was flawless.

Prince of Wales has truly mastered the art of delivering not only incredible food but also an ambiance that transports you to a world of luxury and indulgence. It's a place where you can savor both delectable flavors and impeccable hospitality. My visit here was an absolute delight, and I can't wait to return for another memorable evening.

Thank you, prince of wales and Maya for this...

Being a bit harsh maybe because this wasn't my choice to visit. This is a long dark pub with quite a lot of access issues for people with mobility by issues. It's long, dark and narrow with a really tight space in the women's toilets. I could barely squeeze past when the staff were attempting to refill the soap dispenser and the toilet roll. They also need to use timed air freshening units. There's an unpleasant odour of fish, floor spill, and peculiar wet plastic gloves smell. Apologies for graphic description but lm definitely nose sensitive as an owner of a large Roman snout. My order of a half shandy was misheard as a pint. The lemonade out into bore no resemblance to a lemon whatsoever and level head ale described as a darker pale ale ( oxymoron) was definitely not. I like a dark shandy made from beers like Doom. My own fault perhaps for asking to taste a couple of the tap. I find pubs less keen to do that when they know you're gonna dilute it with a soft drink. To be fair l was refunded half of the cost of the mistaken pint of shandy. I drank less than 10% of it. No repeat...

I am currently visiting from Khazakstan on a buisness trip. Coming off a 11+ hour flight (with airplane food and no alcohol). I was craving a meal and a drink to embrace british culture. I was served by a bubbly personality bar man who went by the name of Olly. Olly not only provided the neccesities of a good service but also spared his time to teach me a bit about the culture in London. Who provided me with a surplus of information about where to visit, eat, drink, etc; whilst also entertaining me with cool bar tricks as he served other customers. He reccomended that I should have the pie (I went with the fish and chips). And he also poured me a pint of guiness and taught me about "splitting the g". I ut a photo of the guiness he poured below, he told me I should have it extra creamy. To conclude this was a delightful experience all together and I really felt the comfort in the British culture and food. I could not of asked for a better bar man to serve me. I really hope this pub stays around for the next time I come back🤞.

What a gem. The Prince of Wales nails that classic London-pub feel: warm lighting, comfy leather banquettes, framed heritage prints, and a beautifully kept bar with a brass foot rail and chequerboard tiles. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming — “Laura & the team” really do make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. Drinks are spot-on and sensibly priced for Kensington. The cask ales are well kept, there’s a broad range behind the bar, and seasonal specials (hello, Pimm’s and a Hugo spritz) keep things interesting. Plenty of seating for a chat, plus screens for all the live sport without it taking over the room — perfect balance. Service is quick, friendly, and efficient; the place is spotless; and it’s an easy choice whether you’re popping in for a pint, settling in for a match, or meeting friends. Great vibe, great value, great pub.

Last Saturday myself and two friends came to the pub for a drink. Unfortunately it ended up in a deeply upsetting evening. Three young men in the bar insulted a table of Spanish students and proceeded to and call me the 'n' word amongst other things. I won't divulge into the full story but essentially the police were called and they are now looking for this male. I have attached a photo of him too so be aware. Obviously this is not the fault of the staff or managers however how the situation was dealt with was inexcusable. After the boys insulted the Spanish table it was brought to the managers attention. Nothing was done about this. The security was absent too. After the man left I was told by the bartender that I should have ignored what the man said to me. Absolutely ridiculous that this place condone this type of behaviour. Disgusting.
