The **Queen Victoria Statue** in **Kensington Gardens**, London, is a prominent monument dedicated to the reign of Queen Victoria, one of the most significant monarchs in British history. The statue was sculpted by Queen Victoria's daughter, Princess Louise. The statue is beautifully crafted with impressive finer details and depicts the Queen in her Coronation robes in 1837. The statue sits within a small ornamental pond between the Round Pond and Kensington Palace. As you walk past the statue, you will enter into the beautiful Kensington Gardens, open free to the public, with benches to sit and relax on. There is an entry fee to the palace itself, however, the cafe at the entrance is available for the public to use. Don't forget to visit The Orangery or the Sunken Garden near the cafe.

The Queen Victoria statue greets you as you enter the Palace grounds. There are a number of Statues of Queen Victoria in London. This one stands just outside the grounds of Kensington Palace. It is of the newly crowned Queen Victoria, aged 18, in her coronation robes. Kensington Palace was the birthplace of Queen Victoria and her home for her entire life prior to her accession to the throne at the age of 18. It was here that she received the news of her accession in 1837. This statue in front of Kensington is a reminder of the building’s importance in the Queen’s life.

It's very Beautifull and maintained statue at the entrance to Buckingham Palace. From the very shiny Gold at the top to the intricate details of the sculptures it is so wonderful and historic. It is very worth the time to see this great tribute and memorial to Queen Victoria. To see the sparkle of the gold is so awesome.Funding for the memorial was gathered from around the British Empire as well as the public. The Australian House of Representatives granted a ÂŁ25,000 contribution for the construction on 17 October 1905. The New Zealand government submitted a cheque for ÂŁ15,000 towards the fund. By October 1901 some ÂŁ154,000 had been gathered for the construction of the memorial. During 1902 a number of tribes from the west coast of Africa sent goods to be sold, with the proceeds going towards the fund. Alfred Lewis Jones had arranged for these items to be brought from Africa to Liverpool free of charge on his ships. Would recommend and will be back when...
