Roots Lounge — Restaurant in London

Each and every time I am there I receive the best service possible. My friends and myself visit Roots regularly, it's our go to shisha and food place. It's homey, warm and welcoming. I feel like it has become my second home. There are plenty of board games, cards and good banter with the staff to keep us entertained. There's great music with plenty of tv's in all angles. The hot chocolate is top notch and the dessert selection it delicious. Sticky toffee pudding is a must every time I am there. There are lots of blankets and heaters all round. There's never a dull moment at Roots. The owners have made myself and my friends feel extremely welcome. Prices are great for the quality shisha and food you get. EVERYTHING SCREAMS QUALITY. The toilets are always spotless, as a woman that is very important. The kitchen is so clean you can eat your food of the floor. The team pride themselves on customer service. Roots keep doing what you are. All your hard work and effort has paid off, this is why you are the best in the industry. P.s. it's so pretty in the marquee there's no need for a filtre. Perfect pictures...

I've been to Roots a few times now, and I can truly say that Shisha is phenomenology - flavour is consistent and the service is incredible. Undivided attention to all customers when needed. As soon as you walk into the premises, it screams clean, welcoming (by all staff) and an incredible atmosphere. If you are in the mood for a relaxing spot, head over to this lounge, you will not be disappointed. Also, try the mint tea, it's a great combination with any shisha you have.

I will also say, I've known a lot of family run businesses and the main thing that sets them apart is the uniqueness and story behind the business itself.

This shisha bar is in the heart of South East London and has an immense history - so as a customer going there, you not only pay for the shisha, service and more but most importantly, to see how successful a small family have developed a business and brand. It speaks incredible volumes for South East London.

Worst experience with staff today. The lounge was empty with only our table and none else. When ordered fries, the gentleman asked me to order now whatever else I want to have as he might get busy with other customers which might come anytime or get busy with "making his own shisha". Anyhow, fries came after around 20 minutes. Then we asked for coal to be changed, which usually is changed within seconds to minutes at any shisha bar, but after chasing him in the kitchen thrice to change the same, he changed coals after around 20 minutes. When voiced that we are not liking the service, he said he was busy making his own shisha, why should we have fun only he should have...
