Sean and his lovely wife ran this pub with love and kindness to everyone that walked in. My partner and I would walk half an hour from our flat in Brockley to drink here and play darts. Sean gave us the pub's old dartboard so we could play at home.
We moved further south two years ago and really miss this place. We planned to come back as soon as we had the chance and are absolutely gutted to see it's closed.
This was a real one of a kind pub that you just don't get any more. Never more than five people there, no music, no TV. Just a warm, comfortable place to have a pint. Like going to a friend's living room, only with Sam Smith beer on tap.
If you read this, thank you Sean! Hope you're enjoying life...
