Sagar South Indian Vegetarian Restaurant . Harrow — Restaurant in London

This place was booked via the Google map listing using Reserve via Google/Quandoo. First time I have used it so boy was I in for a surprise.

The booking wasn't recognised by the restaurant, so we had no table when we arrived. We were told by the waiter that next time to phone to confirm next time. The restaurant was busy but there was a table free which we decided to take, however the serving staff kept saying that we had no booking and reiterated that really we should have confirmed beforehand. Strange as the booking app via Quandoo said it was active...

In the end instead of having to deal with staff questioning why we were in their restaurant through the whole meal we decided to just leave.

Makes more sense to spend your money on a place that wants you there rather than make you feel like you're an imposition. Lots of places to eat in this world and I for sure will not be stepping inside this restaurant again.

Having looked back as some of the earlier comments from other diners it does become clear that issues raised from as far back as 3 years ago have not been addressed. Poor customer service and a lack of manners seem to be consistently raised by diners at this branch. Either this is due to poor choice hiring rude staff or it's an attitude from branch management. Went here years ago and it was great. So thought we should go again...firstly was told all the tables on the right were reserved. We said we would be only an hour, but manager still refused, note. Place was empty at 530pm. He then told us 6pm is all reserved (no one came and we left at 630pm) Now the real show...waitress couldnt speak english. Tried speaking in hindi and whilst she understood she was useless. As we ordered food for the table and we share it, we asked for plates which they seemed reluctant to give...then the manager came and basically put it on my wifes lap rather than serving them as any normal person would know...when challenged him on this, he smerked and basically didnt care, didnt acknowledge or apologize...ruined the experience totally and honestly dont know why we bothered. With mumbai local up the road in rayners lane, ill just stick to there if we want some south indian food.

Summary. Dont bother going here...so many better options...sooner it closes down and replaced with tams peri peri,...

I booked a group meal for 30+ at this restaurant 3 weeks in advance of the event, I had regular contact with the restaurant over 3 weeks only to be told 24 hours before the event that they do not have my booking, when it was clearly written in their diary and that if there was a booking it should not have been accepted in the first place.

Sham, the person I spoke to the day before the event was not at all helpful, was shouting and arguing with me and calling me a liar, he had not intention of trying to resolve the issue by speaking to his colleague with whom I had been liaising.

I inviting Sham to have someone in management call me and discuss the situation, to date I've not received any phone calls!

I walked out of the restaurant with him still shouting at me about me being wrong!

There are plenty of other great restaurants in the area that are very professional, offer quality food and service. If you want a restaurant that truly values custom in a very competitive market place I suggest this is...
