Exceptional Service and Mouthwatering Flavors at Sahara Grill, Gants Hill

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sahara Grill in Gants Hill, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm hospitality and attentiveness by the waiter, Iqbal.

Iqbal's attentive service truly stood out. He was not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to explain the different dishes and made excellent recommendations based on my preferences. His attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience was truly commendable.

Now, let's talk about the food at Sahara Grill. It never fails to satisfy my taste buds, and this visit was no exception. The menu boasts a wide range of tantalizing options, and each dish is prepared with utmost care and expertise.

The flavors at Sahara Grill are simply outstanding. The dishes are rich in authentic spices and perfectly cooked to retain their juiciness and tenderness. If you're a fan of succulent grilled steaks then this is the place for you.

I must make a special mention of the new addition to the menu, the Herbi Wings. These wings are an absolute delight. I highly recommend giving them a try.

The ambiance at Sahara Grill is warm and inviting, making it an ideal place for a casual meal or a special occasion. The staff, including Iqbal, goes out of their way to ensure your comfort and satisfaction throughout your visit.

In conclusion, I cannot praise Sahara Grill in Gants Hill enough. The attentive service provided by Iqbal, combined with the consistently satisfying and flavorful food, makes it a standout dining establishment. Whether you're a regular visitor like me or someone looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Sahara Grill is a place you must visit. I will definitely be back for more culinary delights in the...

Walked in on a Friday evening and fortunately got a table for the 4 of us. Not sure how busy this place usually is these days, although I do recall this restaurant was particularly busy pre-covid.

We were promptly seated by a friendly staff member who was attentive and made suggestions on what to order to help out.

I ordered the ocean delight, which is a fillet of salmon doused in mushroom sauce that also comes with a couple of pieces of bread and some salad. I also got myself a Mango Frappe as my drink.

It did not take too long for the food to arrive. The portion was a decent amount, the salmon fillet was decent, lots of mushroom sauce, salad was fine although the bread seemed lacking.

Tasting the salmon, this was well cooked and is paired well with the sauce and is tasty.

The pieces of plain bread were fine, however there were not many pieces, which was a shame. The salad tasted fine for what it was, however it was not fresh and certainly could have been a lot better.

The mango frappe was cold and refreshing and has that mango taste, although you could also taste that it was not a fresh mango being used. Again, a shame.

Overall, this was a decent meal with a few oversights that stop it becoming a great meal. The lack of fresh ingredients used contributing to that. Interestingly, at the top of the menu it is stated that only fresh ingredients are used. The pricing doesn’t quite match with the food quality and portion - see image. The salmon was almost £16 and the frappe at almost £6. For me, these are prices for better and higher quality food whereas the food provided was more like a decent casual dining experience.

This is a decent place to visit as a one-off and not a bad option for on occasion meal if you are fine with a decent setting and casual food experience whilst also not being too concerned...

Not the Sahara Grill it used to be. Was the go to restaurant 10 years ago but not any more in my opinion. Took the wife and kids there on Sunday. Ordered buffalo wings and dynamite shrimp.. Both over cooked, hard and way too spicy. Kids got the chicken strips and mini chicken burger with curly fries which they demolished. Wife ordered the half chicken with coleslaw and mash and I ordered the lamb steak fillet with chips. My wife's half chicken was covered in masala and spices and was inedible due to the amount of spice on there. When asked, they said we needed to tell them we wanted mild as their chicken comes pre seasoned!? He changed the one piece that was left after struggling to get through the first. As for me, I asked for a medium well steak. They overcooked it and it wasn't medium well but rather, well done and dried out. I didn't complain as I don't like wasting food. The sauce on there was extremely spicy. So I ordered a lychee cocktail. Which was literally a glass of syrup. It was that sweet. I had to keep adding water to the glass to dilute it down. Was really dissapointed. Went to pay and was billed £100. Now I don't mind paying a premium for good food but this was extortion and definitely not worth it. To top it off, my wife and I have been on the toilet seat since Sunday with diarrhoea. Will not be going there again. Spend your hard earned...

Just ordered from here via Uber Eats as the Government are now encouraging people to stay indoors. This ended in total failure. Ordered a Chicken Burger as well some other things. We specifically asked for no Mayonaise for allergen reasons. The packaging for the burger even had written on it "No Mayo" as the picture shows. But the Burger had Mayo on both the top and bottom bun. And it had not been toasted! Photo evidence attached! We rang up the restaurant and the person on the phone seemed to hesistate and initially said that it was probably their fault but then tried to pin the blame on Uber Eats which simply doesn't even make sense? He then stated there was nothing they could do and that they couldn't offer a refund either. What a joke - seems the service has slipped to the level of the Whitechapel Branch. The burger could not be eaten. The food standards seem to have slipped too. The chips were very rubbery and clearly had been fried at some earlier point in the day. And the Stir fried Rice was drenched in oil and salt. The price of the food here is extorionate given the food quality and service. You could pay 50-75% less in other Takeaways within 10 seconds of this place and get better food. My advice - stay away from ordering from here over the phone. They take no ownership over issues they have caused. And they don't take allergies seriously.

I guess a lot of the 5* reviews are fake. This is the worst place I have ever come across. Absolutely over priced and disgusting taste. Overall, I would give them 0 star if I could. I ordered a Beef Rump steak and Cajun Chicken steak costing me £38 but the portions were so small that initially I thought I might have ordered the starter. The beef was about 3" and the Chicken would be about 2.5”. Both dishes tasted horrible and I regretted ordering from this place. The beef steak was just covered in gravy and a few pieces of onions, which were almost raw meat to me. As a result, I could not eat it and had to order another dinner. The chicken steak was even smaller in size and completely dried. No taste whatsoever. I just wonder how this place can charge £38 for two dishes where they just provide about 500 gram meat in both dishes. And 100 gram gravy! Absolutely rip off. I will go nowhere near this place again. If you are reading this review make sure you don’t get trapped by their fake 5* review like me. I hope you read the review and make the necessary changes, otherwise you will have to order another meal again.
