This is a tough one for me to judge. I’ve been to the restaurant twice. I came the second time today because my experience the first time round (last week) was outstanding. If I judged on that visit alone I would give them 5 stars. My second visit today was not so great, thus the hard decision of reducing the rating. On my initial visit it was very late. So late in fact that it was the only restaurant open in the area, and if you know Gants Hill, it’s a restaurant bazaar. The service was FANTASTIC, the food was top notch. I had the vegetable Musa’s and the wife had the vegetable tawa. We had starters and other bits. The pics I’ve uploaded are from our first visit. I couldn’t really fault anything. The seating is really comfortable with deep velvet padded seats. My second visit today was not so good. My food was still great. I had the chicken kebab and it was cooked really well. My wife had pasta which she loved. We ordered the vegetable tawa again for my daughter, but it was nothing like what we had on our previous visit. Instead of being served on a tawa (like before), it was served in a plate, missing the wrap it should have been served on. The result was a very oily vegetable stew instead of what we expected. It was so oily that my daughter couldn’t eat it. We asked for the dish to be taken away and to change her order to the veg pasta (same as what the wife had ordered). The chap serving didn’t understand and instead thought we wanted to have the dish as a take away. I couldn’t be fussed to explain and didn’t want to spoil the evening and I it was just the one dish. The replacement dish for my daughter took quite some time to prepare. It arrived when me and my wife had almost finished ours. In the end we got her second dish as a takeaway as well, otherwise we would have sat there like lemons waiting on my daughter to finish. We ordered Turkish Chia as we had done on our first visit. They didn’t have any. We got the bill, but it was incorrect. I didn’t mind paying for the oily Veg Tawa as we can sort that out and eat for lunch tomorrow, but we had a potion of humus on the bill which we had ordered but never received. So it shouldn’t have been on there. The waiter did take it off. We were also over charged for the veg pasta as they had entered it as a different type of pasta. This was also corrected. Would I go back? Yes. The waiter did explain that the regular chef was off and they were short staffed. He said he usually only serves behind the counter rather than table service. So I have to give the benefit of doubt. I think we just had an unlucky visit the second time (today). Hopefully I will up the score.

BEWARE OF EXTREMELY SMALL PORTION SIZES.. I ordered a Large Donner Kebab using the Just Eat app and was given a small amount of yesterdays left over kebab that was dry, stale and tasted horrendous. It seems they were running low on donner kebab so decided to give me a few scraps of meat and charge me £10.99 for it. Absolutely shocking and despicable value for money and just broad day light Roberry. Please see the attached picture I have posted to see what £10.99 of your hard earned cash will get you. I did recieve salad but that's the amount of donner I got. Very disappointed as they usually do decent food and portions but looks like this place has gone down hill in the last 2 or 3 years. Avoid at all cost and save your money. Better still make your own kebab which will probably be 100 times better and alot cheaper. I won't be ever ordering or buying from this place ever again after the kebab I was given. Delivery driver also knocked on wrong door and probably may have eaten half the kebab himself. Either that or they simply ran out of kebab. Whatever happened this is completley unacceptable and I will be making a complaint.

Appalling service. Ordered a large platter for £70 which suggested to serve 6-7 people (we were 7 adults). When ordering, requested them to split the platter (same amount) into two smaller plates instead of one (as we had elderly guests who would find it difficult to reach across the table to pick food off the sharing platter). They initially refused, then said they could do it for an extra £6. When I said we weren’t requesting more food, just the same amount split into 2, they said the £6 was for the extra time it would take them to split it into 2 plates and that they were busy. Note, we were the only customers there at the time except another table of 3-4 people. Certainly not what anyone would consider “busy” by any stretch with the empty tables! To top it off, they also don’t serve any tap water or large water bottles, only small plastic bottles. Not only is this terrible for the environment, but is illegal. They defended their position by stating other restaurants do the same… Overall, food was very average, the server and staff weren’t very friendly at all so wouldn’t be coming back!

The reason why I gave 1 star!! I have been a loyal customer and recommend my whole family and friends, but yesterday's customer service was shocking.. I've been order food here atleast twice every month. Yesterday I've ordered online but the payment was acting up, so I decided to call the restaurant to see if payment weny through or not. I explained the situation to guy who picked up the phone, and he told me he's soo busy I should check it online, or call customer service, and I told him if he can provide me with the phone number, and if could take my order on the phone instead because the website seems not to work for some reason he started shouting at me and tell me how busy he was and he ain't got time, then hang up the phone on me. I was shocked!! But I thought probably he didn't understand me, so I called back again, and he told me why don't I understand him and I told explained to him that all I wanted to was ordering food, but before I finished talking, he hung on me again. So this time I was furious, I call back again and there was someone else who picked up the phone I explained the situation and also I told him, he apologise, and told me to give him my order, I did and as soon as I gave him the order he hung up on me, I called back and from this moment they ddnt pick up my phone anymore, so I was left confused if they were going to deliver my order or not, but I was thinking they didn't take no payment, I tried to call them with my husband number they picked up straight away, but as soon as they heard my voice they hang up again. They left me and my family stand while we were fasting. At this point I had to order food from somewhere else, which took another extra hr to arrive.. Im very disappointed with that experience, I've always loved your food but from yesterday experience, I will never buy food from this place and I won't recommend to no one and I will tell my whole family and friends not to ever buy from you.. worst...

The food that I had was delicious. A lot of flavours in the shish and the sides that come with it. The chicken shawarma was filling and also tasty. Unfortunately the service was terrible. The waitress talked to us like she was somehow bothered about us being there. It's hard to explain but basically she was like what do u want? She speaks well English and understands fine but her attitude is rotten. The man behind the till area with brownish hair also was horrid. No smile and when I asked him about the lunch menu, he was very slow in his response and the tone he used was rude. I wanted to leave before ordering but my husband insisted in staying especially as we were both hungry. We asked for tap water but waitress advised us that management have banned her not to give any to any customers. I explained that it was a legal requirement but she shrugged her shoulders and said its not up to me. At the end they over charged us (by 2 quid) I noticed and approached the waitress straightaway but she got defensive. Said no darling you are wrong. I asked her to look at the menu to check. She realised and got the man to give my refund. Then they started talking very loudly to each other in their own language. Which was very rude. I know it was only £2 but its about the principle of it. She reacted in a silly way. Their customer service really needs to improve. We went on 31.08.2022 around 4ish. There were no other customers, must be because they had just finished lunch time. I really enjoyed the food and would have loved to go again but not sure if I will...
