Select Lounge — Restaurant in London

We visited this restaurant for shisha and dinner and were surprised to find out that they only offered a set menu because of Christmas Eve and leaving us with no other food options. So, we reluctantly went with the set menu.

The starter was acceptable, but the main course, which was chicken, was extremely disappointing. It had no flavor, was very dry, and honestly felt like something you’d expect from hospital food for patients. The dessert, which was an apple pie, was also inedible.

We asked the staff if we could speak to the manager about the quality of the food. Not only did the manager not come to our table, but the staff returned on their behalf to simply say, “Sorry, you could have returned the food at the time.” I explained that since we had no other options, returning the food would have meant we had nothing to eat. For the record, we barely touched our meals and left them half-finished.

I came here for my friend’s birthday and to be honest when we came in the place looked cute but very small. The food was overpriced and I ordered a steak but it came very cold. One guy came to us and asked if it was one of our birthdays, I wish he didn’t do that because I was going to surprise my friend by telling the staff separately if they can come out with sparklers and sing happy birthday. So because the guy asked if it was one of our birthdays there wasn’t any point in me going to them separately to tell them about the surprise. They only came with a chocolate fondue ( which was nice of them) and one sparkler, I thought there was going to be a bunch of sparklers and at least a happy birthday song for my friend but that did not happen and it was vey dead. i attended this place on valentines with my girlfriend and friends, the first girl who came to serve us was rude from the first encounter while we ordered which i went on to ignore we had then been sat there for another half an hour before another staff member realised we had not received our drinks meaning the first girl refused to put our order through. about an hour later i went to the toilet and the waitress thought it was okay to barge past me. i had then gone into the toilet abs she decided to mention to my girlfriend that i apparently pushed her but never wanted to say anything directly to me. the manager then came over and made sure everything was okay and it was like to say he’s had this complaint before i can understand the policies but i refuse to be disrespected in a place i have chosen to...
