Yi Man Tang Chinese Restaurant & Takeaway — Restaurant in London

I don't understand how there are glowing reviews of this restaurant dated 11months ago and older considering the fact that the restaurant only opened a week ago. When we arrived they only had one menu so they gave us that and a copy of the takeaway menu. The layout and numbering of the dishes were completely different so they gave us two copies of the takeaway menu. The food was OK but nothing to write home about. When we asked for the bill they said that they could only a accept cash as the card machine hadn't arrived yet.. Luckily we had sufficient cash. When we looked at the bill is was much more expensive than we expected. When we queried it they explained that eating in prices were higher than takeaway prices, which was pretty annoying considering that they hadn't mentioned this when giving us the takeaway menusas there was only a single copy of the menu folder for the whole restaurant. The bill was about 20% more expensive than the prices we had expected from the menus provided. For a new restaurant they know how to engender bad will and for that reason we won't be going there again. A pretty stupid attitude for a new...

Very below standard. I think they are under new management again and that will be twice in a year. We ordered a large delivery from them. It arrived reasonably quick. However that’s where the nice bit ends. Ribs were very tough. Beef was undercooked. Duck was very greasy and gooey. Noodles and rice were warm. Butterfly King Prawns were the cheap ones (2 for £3.) from the supermarket. We called them to complain and they acted like they could not speak English. I’m so disappointed as we have been using this take away...

Ordered food to takeaway today, and was very impressed. I carried it home in the bitter December cold, but even after a lengthy walk the food remained warm, and was very tasty indeed.

Sweet and sour chicken balls were large and crispy, with a generous chunk of moist chicken inside. Salt and pepper squid was perfectly seasoned, and the mixed seafood dish was very fresh and equally delicious.
