The Elephant Inn, Finchley — Restaurant in London

I would like to make this very clear, this is not really to do with the bar staff or the pub itself. Last night I finished work and with a couple of friends decided we wanted to come play some pool, there where other people on there so we got a pint and waited our turn, when our turn came we har almost finished when I got to a part of the pool table wich was close to a lady and her fella, I politely said “oh sorry I don’t want to hit you do you” I then turned around to take my shot and she pushed my cue, I laughed it off and went for me shot, she did it again, I then said please stop you’re not funny, she then proceeded to scream and shout in my face about how “she owns this pub and I don’t know who she is and I’m nobody and she is gonna kick me out” she claimed she was French and was extremely drunk, her fella a big ginger bloke was extremely unhelpful but could clearly see she was in the wrong, I told her “ go away, leave us alone, your embarrassing yourself” she carried on shout and pushing me and grabbing me, to wich I really struggled to keep my mouth shut but I did and she still kept on going, and then she pushed the pool balls so it ruined our game. I wouldn’t usually ever leave a review like this but she was disgusting and if she is an owner or manager or somehow linked to the pub i would like her sanctioned in some sort of way. I know exactly who she is and her fella as the come into my pub a lot. I will be leaving both a review and sending this in email, the bar staff know exactly who she is. Sometimes I really like it, other times not so much. It is nice in the summer to sit outside when the weather is nice and chill with your drinks. We used to go there every Friday after work about on average 12 of us. But, we were finding the the service is inconsistent and you can be stood there for an age waiting to be served. Also, it can be quite expensive really, considering the area that it is in, and we found the more junior members of the team wouldn't stay around as they couldn't afford it. Went there recently as someone from work was leaving so there was a fair sized crowd of us; we ended up sitting a one long row of small square tables so we were sat in a row and it wasn't as group-feeling as we would like. There were also screaming kids in there quite late on. Running around banging into us and wiping their hands over us and our belongings. This would be fine during the day, you would just have to suck it up, but trying to remember your Ps and Qs late on into the evening as parents are scowling at you is not ideal. I’m am never one to complain or write bad reviews but the young lady at the bar decided to yell across at me to put the menu down, she had one next to her but the tone was very aggressive and rude. After following her instructions I placed my ordered which she decided to add (black tax) claiming it was an additional £1 for take away containers. According to the menu it’s an additional for lunch time deals which I was not getting, anyways i still decided to go ahead with my order. As I waiting for my order another staff member gave the white people free containers.

Which let me know I was getting black tax so I requested a refund! I paid contactless with my phone so if you can pay that way you should be able to be refunded via that method! Apparently that’s not the case.
