Seven Stars Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in London

I have been to Seven Stars in Tolworth on many occasions. I love chinese cuisine and I have to say that beyond a doubt this is the best restaurant for me. The staff are friendly and tailor the food to my liking (I like it spicy, the home made chilly oil is amazing). On many occasions now I have tried staff suggestions and I would like to believe that I have a better developed pallet.

I have had many birthday gatherings without a hitch and all whom have accompanied me have been pleasantly surprised with the great tasting food, ambiance and accommodating staff. Danny and the staff go that extra mile to keep things running smoothly with a smile. I have taken my kids and they love it.

Seven stars have a well stocked bar, good range of wines (red and white), whiskey, brandy and refreshing less gassy chinese beer. Want a new drink ask Danny for a cocktail. The cheerful chappy will make a surprisingly good drink and leave you pondering what's in it? Danny is exceptional with his customer service.

There is also a delivery service and I order when I'm lazy at least twice a week.

I visited this place today Sunday 15th Oct 2017 around 1.30pm - 2.30pm (management just so you know who was working as they you may want to pick this up with them) and I was greeted by an individual who didn't even acknowledge our presence.

We sat at the table and weren't even asked if we would like a drink before we went to the buffet and when I asked for a drink it was almost an inconvenience.

The hospitality was the worst experience I have had and when we paid the bill he did not even want to give me my change and then proceed to almost throw it at the table when requested (which by looking at some of the reviews here seems common practice at this establishment)

So ladies and gents in summary they have lost my custom and that of my family and friends and i strongly suggest you take your money elsewhere an absolutely horrendous customer...

I’ve ordered takeaway from here a couple of times via Uber Eats and delivery has always been very prompt which was appreciated.

I tried here as I particularly had a craving for proper Chinese char siu pork and roast duck and no other takeaway in the area seems to do it correctly so was keen to see how Seven Stars would do. I was pleasantly surprised as the mixed roast dish tasted great. Not quite the high quality and crispy duck skin of a restaurant, but certainly not bad for a takeaway. The portion was a little on the small side for £15 though. Another time, I ordered just the char siu pork on its own and there was tons which was great!

The noodles were very tasty and so was the Beancurd and char siu dish.

Overall, whist prices are on the higher side, I’d come here again to satisfy my Chinese food cravings...
