Superfish — Restaurant in London

Tried Superfish (eat-in) on the strength of reviews because we were in the Tolworth area and looking for a place to lunch

Generally pretty happy with the quality, with fish batter tasting light and crispy. The chips were okay (nice and hot) but a little over-fried in my opinion. Most disappointing was my Saveloy, which was lukewarm at best when the plate was served.

Service was brilliant with a very friendly young lady greeting us warmly and being very attentive and helpful throughout our meal. The restaurant was clean and although a little dated in terms of decor, it was fairly neutral in appearance.

Spent £30 on fish/pie and chips to take away. The chips tasted old and some were gritty, the pies were dry as if they had been heated all day and even looked over cooked, so it seems we have been fobbed off with the "old food". Threw away most of the food and gave the pies to the dog. Have been to Superfish Ewell before and the food was good so expected the same quality, how wrong I was, for the sake of shifting some old food Superfish Tolworth have lost any future business or recommendation from me. My advice is either check the food before it is wrapped or better still go...

I used to really like this place I frequently went but the last time I was disappointed to say the least. I arrived, there was only one couple, already eating, no other clients and after a while, when nobody attended me I put my head around to the kitchen and indicated I was still waiting. The two women obviously considered their conversation far more important than serving a customer so after about 5 minutes more I decided to leave. Pity, normally the service is good but what a terrible impression two uninterested...
