The Sunshine Cafe — Restaurant in London

I walked in, first time here, the ladies greeted me with a smile and conversation. Absolutely lovely. They then asked me to sit and served me at my table which is not common in most cafés. I ordered a prawn omelette chips and peas and an Oreo milkshake which is my favourite milkshake and thought why not, the weather is hot. After using the toilet I realised I needed a tampon or pad, caught completely off guard. Milkshake sitting on the table, I tell the lovely ladies I'm going to my car and will be right back. Frantically looking for the tampon I always see rolling around on the floor of my car, but it's no where to be seen when I actually needed it. Anyway I returned to the cafe, and felt immediately comfortable enough to ask the blonde lady if she had a tampon I could have, she didn't do she discreetly went to ask the other females. None of them had anything on them. I said not to worry and sat down to eat and was preparing to go straight home after eating to sort my self out. Somehow, without me seeing, the lovely blonde lady had popped out to the chemist across the road and bought some tampons and gave me one. I literally felt to hug her,she went above and beyond for me and I will never forget her kindness. That aside, the prawn omelette was the best omelette I've ever had hands down. It was fresh, light, oil-less and had soooo many prawns in. All of it was so beautifully cooked. And the Oreo milkshake was perfect, all that was missing was some cream on the top but that's just me. You will not be disappointed eating here it so lovely and I will be coming back next week hopefully...

This restaurant really is our little ray of sunshine. My partner and I have returned to this restaurant over the years when we crave a 'naughty yet comforting' Sunday brunch. We order the same every time; Super breakfast, Lavazza coffee and a banana milkshake.

The super breakfast is not for the faint hearted! We often just eat this meal only that day and in terms of value for money, quality and your traditional builder's cafe food, we love it. The homemade bubble and squeak is my favourite part. The milkshakes are thick and delicious.

Their attentiveness to their customers is fabulous. The regular staff recognise us and recite our order every time. It makes us smile as honestly we are not there all the time!

I would advise eating in rather then delivery. The service is quick and it tastes so much better...

Sunshine Cafe is a place you can walk into feeling sad and hungry and walk out of feeling well fed and happy! The staff that run and work in the cafe are so friendly and helpful. They seem to know all their customers and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and feed you well! Too well! The portions are always more than generous. My kids have been going there all their lives and so are really happy to pop in for a meal or a snack and are treated like special guests! We love the menu which caters for the brunch crowd as well as those looking for a filling lunch or dinner. My only suggestion would be for them to feature some food from their Turkish heritage - maybe a daily special or one day a week to offer olives, hummus and aubergine salad. A ray of sunshine in any weather...
