During my recent visit to Taste of Peshawar in Wembley for lunch, I was eager to experience authentic Pakistani cuisine. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere, with its simple yet elegant decor, set the stage for a promising dining experience.
The menu offered a wide range of dishes, and I opted for the Chicken Karahi and a side of Naan. The Chicken Karahi was flavorful, with tender pieces of chicken cooked to perfection in a rich, aromatic tomato-based gravy. The blend of spices was well-balanced, providing a pleasant heat that didn’t overpower the dish. The Naan was freshly baked, soft on the inside, and slightly crispy on the outside, making it the perfect accompaniment to the Karahi.
I also tried the Seekh Kebabs, which were juicy and well-seasoned, with a hint of smokiness from the grill. The portion sizes were generous, making it great value for money. The complementary mint chutney added a refreshing contrast to the savory dishes.
Service at Taste of Peshawar was friendly and attentive. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to provide recommendations. Despite the lunchtime rush, my food arrived promptly, and the staff ensured that my dining experience was enjoyable.
The only downside was the noise level, which was a bit high due to the restaurant being quite busy. However, this is a minor drawback compared to the overall positive experience.
In summary, Taste of Peshawar offers a delightful lunchtime experience with authentic and delicious Pakistani cuisine. Whether you’re a local or visiting Wembley, it's worth a visit for a taste of traditional flavors and warm...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant last week and it was a Saturday evening and I was super excited as I saw some fantastic reviews from this particular restaurant.
The interior is nice, cosy and simple. But that does not detract from the amazingly delicious food and the beautiful service that we received.
I have to say that the prices are extremely reasonable and the waiters are extremely professional, polite and helpful.
What I thought was amazingly commendable is that we ordered a mixed grill and in that came two kebabs. So I placed one in my husband's plate and I was going to have mine a bit later. Within less than 5-minutes, the waiter came back with another kebab on a grill stick. He said that he did not like the look of the kebab and therefore was giving us another one (without charge). My husband and I thought that was incredibly commendable especially because we had no intention to complain. The reason we would not have complained is because we know that grilled food generally does get a bit charcoaled and it 's quite normal to have some black spots on it.
They also did not charge us for the chips that we ordered for our little baby, although she also enjoyed some pilau rice with us.
I would definitely without hesitation give this restaurant 5 Stars and definitely plan to visit Taste of Peshawar very soon, although I think they should open up a branch in Luton to save me...
