Stage Door Cafe — Restaurant in London

Came here with my daughter and it was quite busy. The waitress came over to serve us and she was very friendly. We had a laugh and a joke and she was very friendly. We placed our orders. My daughter ordered a veg breakfast whilst l ordered burger & chips with fried onions, burger sauce and no cheese. When our orders came my daughter was missing her toast and l noticed cheese in my burger. I quickly summoned the cook and he admitted it was his error as it was written down. I also asked for my daughter's toast at the same time. Our amended orders came and l noticed there was no burger sauce. I got up to ask for it at the counter. They noticed that l needed something so l explained that l needed the sauce. We eventually tucked in. The meal was ok. No complaints about that. When we finished we went to the counter and l stated that l had burger & chips. She asked if l had cheese and l stated no. When l received my change l noticed that she had obviously charged me for the cheese. I wasn't happy about that. I have been here before a few times and had no problems at all but on this occasion there was far too many mistakes for me to ignore. After nrarly 9 years of custom, I just had the worse experience ever.I was greeted by a lady who proceeded to take my order, I watched as she licked her finger to loosen a slip to write my order on. She then picked up something that was on the floor then reached for the packet of bread to make my sandwich. After seeing that she had licked her finger and reach for something on the ground, I kindly said to her that I changed my mind. She asked why and I told her. Out of nowhere she began to scream like her mad banshee with obscenities and racist slurrs and that I should get out of her shop. She had no regard for the other customer in the cafe at the time, she even came from behind the counter as if she wantes to fight me. I asked her to calm down and I wasn't rude and just changed my mind but she continued to scream obscenities at the top of her lungs. Turns out she is the wife of the owner. While on a mission trip to the UK we stayed in Catford. Found this gem of a place. The owner, was there every day cooking and did a fantastic job. The waitress who I befriended, took an interest to all of her customers. She learned their likes and dislikes.
