Sushi Boom London — Restaurant in London

This is my second time ordering sushi from here within the last two weeks. I am incredibly impressed with the quality of food, the taste, the service, the ease of ordering off the website and the variety on the menu. I find it so helpful and fantastic that there is also a detailed menu for allergens and nutrition brochure so you know exactly what you are eating. I read reviews before ordering and they most definitely reflect my experience. Yes there are long waiting times (up to 1.5h in my experience) so be prepared to wait a little but it is totally worth it. Plus it shows you how popular this place is. They called me to tell me the food was ready to collect both times i ordered and it was faster than the prescribed waiting time. If you are wondering about their portions, they most definitely are big and so the prices are really worth it. Restaurant quality fresh sushi with a twist at a great price. I had a small hiccup and Sergey went out of his way to solve the issue. He even gave me the option of a complimentary sushi selection which was delicious and even called to check if we liked it! Frankly speaking, Polite staff, average service, mediocre Food. I had lunch there with my daughter. Staff were quite nice. At first they got our order wrong we were waiting politely for my daughter’s soup, it didn’t come until we went and ask. They politely answered they forgot to add it in the system. By the time the soup came my daughter Share mine and then was quite full up, therefore we had to take it away. We ordered a platter which cost £19, but the quality was very poor the cheese bites were cold in the middle and they called it” Tempura platter “ but there were only 4 Tempura an the rest was indescribable, apart from the onions rings which I thought the were calamari until I bite through them to my surprise! When the bill came they charge us sauces! ( mayo and teriyaki), even though it was presented in the “Tempura” platter picture” It is such a shame though! Before the accident ( car run through the shop), I bought a Tom yum and it was such a pleasant experience! Today the soup was so salty and bizarre, that is how I could describe it, “ wash out” with no substance or quality. The noodles were rubbery...

Ordered food about 5pm. I was ok to wait even two hours but if food would come. After almost 3 hours Just eat said “enjoy your food” which didn’t arrive. Phone line was busy and finally someone picked up and after i asked where is my food they just put the phone down. Went to restaurant to talk to them. The lady who works there were rude. It took for me almost 2 more hours to collect my food. Came home opened the bag and realised that they didn’t even put sticks, no soya sauce no wasabi nothing at all. Order was for two people at least one of each should go with food for person. But they use to do this even before but in this situation after all waiting time and all experience they didn’t bother to do anything about that. Also it wasn’t only my experience. Plenty of people were waiting with me in the restaurant as well. Horrible service actually worst experience i had in my life. I can understand everything but not even “sorry” came out of their mouth. Use to order food here and loved it and was closing eyes on all things but sorry not after this time. Wouldn’t recommend this place...
