The Metropolitan Tavern — Restaurant in London

16.09.21 Today I decided to go here for lunch with my mother and sister we went in at 11.30 as they have work in the afternoon we grabbed a drink each looked at the menu then ordered we plus 1 other person was in the pub, We ordered beef yorkie wrap, club sandwich, jacket potato with beans & cheese and garlic bread. We sat waiting 20 to 25 minutes which is fine but as the food started to come out the sandwich was wrong which got taken back then we heard the chef throw the plate across the kitchen, The jacket potato was cold so we took it to the bar and again was taken back and thrown again, the chef spoke the waiting staff like rubbish we could hear everything. 20-25 minutes later we are still sat there waiting for the sandwich, jacket and garlic bread. I went to the bar and asked to the cancel the order and for a refund when I went up with the bank card to get a refund they said they couldn't do it as they hadn't been trained in the end they gave it back as cash not before asking us to come back on the Friday or Saturday to do the refund. As I say I come here often for a lunch with friends so was very disappointed and to be honest if the chef can't deal with doing 3 meals and then starts acting childish when they've done something wrong then he shouldn't be working in the...

Never again. Let me book online for a table of 4 and said i could stay until 12:45am and let me buy 4 bottles of wine for us to be told at 9pm we have to leave as we are under 21. Nothing was said about that on the online booking otherwise i would not have bought 4 bottles of wine. Wasn't allowed to finish our drinks and did not get refunded. Also they did a pub quiz game for the football which we paid for and won and when we went back to get the winnings they said you wasn't here so we gave to someone else. Managers useless took about an hour to put 4 bottles of wine in an ice box n bring it over. Oh and cherry on top a random man was sitting on our table the whole time even though we booked that table. We was welcomed by bar staff in, asked if dogs were allowed to be told yes, bought drinks, sat down, within 5 minutes to have a member of staff come over to say the manager asked us to leave as our dog was on the dangerous dogs list. He done nothing at all yet was asked to leave, would they do this to an emotional support dog of his breed???
