If I could give 0 stars for this restaurant I would. My experience at the taste of raj from start to finish has been appalling.
On entering the restaurant my partner and I were met by waiter who stated that as we hadn't booked a table wed have to wait for 20 minutes for a table. Seconds later a couple entered the restaurant in the EXACT same circumstances, the waiter then attempted to seat them. When I questioned the waiter as to why they were being seated before us despite being in the same situation, the waiter began to stutter and make excuses which resulted in the other couple leaving the restaurant. Eventually the waiter led us to the back of the dingey restaurant and sat us at a table in a space no more than half a square meter, another customers meal had to be interrupted in order for me to take my seat!
The service in A&E is quicker than the taste of raj and the food is equally disgusting! Stale poppadoms, butter chicken had an entire tin of tomato soup as sauce (not yellow or buttery) and lamb korai was pure fat with foul taste.
To top off this horrible evening, we were charged almost £6 for 4 poppadoms and £8 for two flat cokes, to my amazement, the waiter who was unable to demonstrate basic numeracy and arithmetic attempted to charge us for service charge!
AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE VIOLATED ORALLY AND...

I said yes, even if it's chilli powder, is there any chilli? He said no, definitely not. I happily order. We wait a short while, head to the park and we eat. There are CHUNKS of chilli in the samosas! I have a chilli allergy!!! I show the two chunks and the waiter is in disbelief, gaslighting me and telling me no ma'am, that's not chilli. I was like "you eat it then and tell me if it is chilli or not". This conversation shockingly goes on for a few more minutes where I am having to still gesture and persuade to the man that this is a chilli imbued samosa. In utter disbelief, have no more trust for the man, continue to demand my refund and am astounded. For anyone with intolerances or allergies BEWARE. I've had to take antihistamines and thankfully I have a lot to hand. But seriously, this is shocking!!!!! Even with my chilli allergy my airways in the past have seized but has not been so severe in more recent times. I only think for a customer who has a moderate-severe allergy and that this restaurant will serve them harm. Just BEWARE. Also, just shocking further that there was no apology about getting it wrong, just continue gaslighting. I was left...
