Stylish and comfy surroundings, excellent food. Prices perhaps a little on the high side, but the quality and serving size received makes it justified. Docking one star, however; went on a quiet day - staff took care of us, and weren’t very busy. No complaints there! They were friendly and attentive when required. Not being super busy they chatted amongst themselves, in itself not a problem. I understand what it’s like working in the service industry. However, they did excite themselves a bit with a spill of some sort and started shouting out “f*ck” or “sh*t”. Then that kind of language became the norm when they chatted amongst themselves. Being quiet in the restaurant, of course you could hear it all. They never addressed us like that, but my advice to the staff: when in earshot of customers, don’t let the high quality slip! :) Otherwise, highly recommended for food, drink and stylish surroundings! Looking forward to returning when the weather improves; there are nice tables and furnishings outside which will be lovely to sit at.

This extremely small main course cost £13.50 it was bulked out with an usually large amount of garlic bread and peas which were not advertised so removed immediately. White sauce in the roulade was very bitter, old/off tasting. Chilli ordered by another member of the party was mediocre and portion of chips were a bit undercooked. On top of that it states prices do not include service charge. Barmaid had an awful attitude, (not to me personally) - Caught behind an old couple walking slowly towards the bar she impatiently stated ‘excuse me, if you don’t let me through you won’t be getting served!’ I thought was disgusting. Displayed further attitude towards customers throughout our visit. Did not deserve service charge! Beer garden absolutely covered in rotten apples and subsequently our food and drinks were continuously landed on by wasps and flys. From reading previous reviews this feels like a place which is riding off a previously good reputation and now the effort is not put in.

Christmas Day lunch. A short walk from our friends' home. Not sure what to expect in a modern building on a new town/estate... Well! Superb from start to finish! Staff, food, atmosphere, outside eggie plot & gardens... all superb! We were shown to a family size table, greeted with a glass of prosecco & a huge hi! from the chef at the window. Our lovely Lithuanian blonde lady & McKenzie our Northern Irish server were both gorgeous. As was the food and wines. We chose a Georgian orange wine (among others) as we'd visited Georgia & done a wine tour. My duck was superb. And I loved the potatoes boulangere. Mum went mad for the Yorkshires. All delicious, plentiful & we were spoilt. Veggie/ vegans well catered for too, the arancini were yum. One of our party couldn't join us (tested Covid positive) but his lunch was carefully wrapped up to take home. How kind. Thank you & hope the photos do justice đŸ„°. Excellent. Hope to return soon for a Sunday/ veggie roast!

Update 6th Aug 2021

Since the last review, I have discussed and resolved the matter with John, Youngs' area manager . I must say that in the last few weeks that I came back , the pub is run very professionally and courteously. Thanks to Alex, the Portuguese gentleman who has fantastic customer skills, a good eye for details and always helps everyone. He is a great asset to the team... Again bad-mannered. the man he call himself Vivek Poojasa ( manager ) He can't even speak English properly Po at the front of the house was extremely dismissive and unhelpful. His behaviour is so unpredictable. My advice is he go back to training to become a waiter.

27th June 2021 Another disappointing experience at Beaufort Pub. We are regular customers and we always book our table according to the new regulations. Recently we had a bit of misunderstanding with our booking date and time and twice in a row the man he call himself Vivek Poojasa ( duty manager ) He can't even speak English properly Po at the front of the house was extremely dismissive and unhelpful. Although the pub was half full , he bluntly refused to find us 2 seats. It is very puzzling how paying customers are turned away while it's very obvious that there is enough capacity to accommodate them. This particular member of staff is continuously unprofessional, he makes you think that he doesn’t want to be there . He's never courteous , never personable, he should not work in the catering industry.

The booking system Beaufort pub operates is a complete shambles and it feels discriminatory. You use their poorly designed app to book a table. Any table. And wait for a confirmation. Sometimes confirmation arrives. Sometimes it doesn't. You turn up to the pub and the waiters and manager pick and choose their customers as they like. You are asked to book online then call . And then if they like your face or your name, they find you a table at the end of the garden. Of you are a friend, you are in luck. And although the pub remains fairly empty throughout the day and evening, with all social distancing rules, they choose to turn paying customers away. It's embarrassing, they make you feel uncomfortable at the door and it's extremely disappointing when you've been a loyal customer for many years. On top of everything, their poorly designed app stores your credit card details which is without customer's consent. All in all, a very poor and unprofessional start up after the lockdown, don't think it will get any better , so we'll be taking our...

I have been a regular customer at this place, but tonight was the worst experience I have ever had. The bartender’s attitude was incredibly rude and unprofessional.

When we arrived at the bar to order our drinks, the bartender made us wait for 15 minutes without acknowledging us. He turned his back on us, ignored our presence, and did not even ask for payment or confirm our order. We stood there awkwardly, waiting, and eventually decided to sit down. We told one of the staff members—a man and two women—that we would sit and wait for them to inform us when our drinks were ready.

After another 15 minutes, we could clearly see that our drinks were ready, but no one brought them to us. Instead, the bartender kept serving everyone else while completely ignoring us. We had to go back and ask for our drinks, which they finally gave us after a long delay.

Later, when we returned to the bar to place another order, the same bartender treated us with the same level of disrespect. He ignored us again and made us feel as if we were not welcome. I have no idea why we were treated this way, especially as regular customers.

On the other hand, Shahin, one of the staff members, has always been incredibly polite, respectful, and professional. He greets customers with a smile, serves with care, and treats everyone with kindness. His excellent service is the reason I have always enjoyed coming here. (he was off tonight )

Unfortunately, after tonight’s experience, I am seriously reconsidering whether I want to return. Customer service should be consistent for all guests, and no one should feel ignored or...

A truly disappointing experience. My friends and I visited yesterday (5th May), intending to relax in the garden and enjoy some food and drinks. We were having a conversation and deciding what to order when a staff member (a slim, young-looking girl) approached us in an unprofessional and condescending manner. She informed us that if we weren't ordering anything immediately, we couldn't sit on the premises. Not only was her attitude offensive, but we also noticed that we were not provided with menus, as we saw was done for other customers. We felt racially profiled and insulted.

A more appropriate approach would have been to politely ask if we needed assistance with the menu or ordering. Instead, we were treated with disrespect.

We went to the bar to address her inappropriate conduct, but when the manager arrived, he exhibited similarly appalling behavior. Rather than listening to our concerns, he curtly told us to "leave, we don't care."

This level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic human decency is unacceptable. The management and staff need serious training in customer service. Future customers should be aware of the dismissive and offensive attitude displayed here.

Avoid this place if you expect to be treated...
