Very mixed feelings about this one. Staff are friendly and the starter was perfect for the second time. Naan bread also excellent. That's the extent of the praise. The curry was mediocre, lacking any complexity in flavour, notwithstanding they served me the wrong curry until I enquired which one they'd brought. However, the worst offender, by far, was the rice. To say the rice was split is an understatement; it was so soft and overcooked it had shattered into a thousand fragments. Bland, overcooked, watery, grainy; nothing like one would expect from any self-respecting curry house. And for that reason alone, I don't expect to return.

This is a very 'down to business' type of establishment. There are no bells and whistles about the decor; that's fine, because the 'business' here is the food and the food is magnificent. The menu is wide ranging. The service is excellent, albeit at times curt. But all the staff are very professional. The restaurant is off the high street, in a residential neighborhood. It's a rare find in London. The prices are below London standard, and the food well above. I have taken many friends and family here for a meal. They have all loved it.

If you’re looking for a really tasty curry with welcoming staff then you should 💯 % give The Chutney a try … or if you just want to find somewhere to chill and watch the latest Rick Shiels video then this is definitely the place! ⛳️🏌🏼‍♂️😋 Bhaji starter and King Prawn Chilli Chilli were spot on. Be careful of the chillis though unless you like it 🔥 If you’re looking for atmosphere on a Monday night then maybe this isn’t the place … but it was a Monday night in January, so I can’t possibly criticise the atmosphere.

We are a family from Sweden ( with two young kids) and had dinner at Chutney. Food was fine but we hated the ambience and the service. Restaurant is so bland and empty that there was a lot of echo when people were talking. It became very noisy due to this and was hard to talk. The waiters were in sone kind of hurry as they were not ready to wait for even 5 min to let us decide the drinks and when we decided they gave us wrong drink ( we were ordering mango lassi but that was finished so waiter suggested lemonade but we got sprite instead of lemonade. When we said it was wrong we wanted lemonade then he said no it was not available ) As mentioned earlier, It seemed they were in hurry and even though kids had food in their plates they wanted to clear the table. We did not feel Welcome at all and will never go...

Irresponsible restaurant ordering management. Placed an order on Deliveroo after reviews on Deliveroo and google were really good. Was impressed with the menu selection and the description of every dish. With that all in mind, we decided to give it a try and were so excited to try it after all the raving reviews. Well, they didn’t accept the order. When we called them up to ask why, they couldn’t find the order, they then wanted to know what we ordered and then they said the restaurant was just so we can’t fulfil the order. Well, here’s some advice shut the restaurant orders on Deliveroo. You wasted my time, delayed me in being able to sort...
