The Coffee Mill — Restaurant in London

Came here today with my partner and son and ordered a chicken escalope ciabatta. The bread was rock hard so I couldn’t eat it. I Eat the majority of the filling. It took some time to get 3 sandwiches so when asked if they could replace it I declined as I couldn’t wait around any longer. I asked if it could come of the bill and had the person in charge tell me I had to pay half. (The sandwich was totally inedible) I was then told I had to pay something towards it. I was so embarrassed as we was having this discussion in front of the few customers. When I told the lady that my sons bread was so dry also he couldn’t eat it she finally agreed to take mine of the bill. An absolute joke my experience was there. £16 for two sandwiches which weren’t good and a small bowl of chips. Definitely won’t be coming here again and will be informing people not to bother. A lovely cafe in Teddington and always consistently good. Everything is made fresh and kitchen looked very clean and organised (as you can see inside it). So reasonably priced compared to the rest of Teddington, which is refreshing. Staff always so friendly and go the extra mile for example the chef came out and asked me what fruit I would like on my French toast. My boyfriend is also very fussy with his English breakfast (swaps things in and out) and this was not a problem at all for them to do. Went on a sunny day, the windows and doors fully open so felt very airy. Breakfast reasonably priced for Teddington (eggs royale and vegetarian English ordered by myself and sister, vegetarian dhal curry and rice with a delicious salad ordered by my bro in law), only thing i would say is the sourdough slice was too thin and hard, but I'm sure if I'd said it would have been changed as the service was great. Flat white was good. Would definitely recommend. Friendly service too! Also some other reviews mentioned dirty toilets... I didn't find this to be the...
