Definitely one of the oldest pubs in Hounslow, fortunate to have not become a causality of the the express supermarket disease. You may get the Slaughtered Lamb feeling when you enter the place. It is mostly represented by local regulars ranging from the general geriatric wino to the remnants of the this is England cast. The landlord may of had his happiness chip removed or the dire decimation of drinking culture has taken a toll. Sometimes during weekends there is live music of the tribute band fare. Sport is available as the place isn't completely archaic. Amenities are clean. You may find that the beer or ale on tap is only found in bottle form. They do offer food. The Car park is for patrons only as is the bathroom. The lustre wore off this place unfortunately yet its nostalgic nature is something we don't want to lose. Read moreLet’s face it,Hounslow is a cess pit and it can’t be easy running a pub in the area.The Lances is on it’s last legs,management and staff are people who are available not necessarily the right people.Fullers no doubt are reluctant to purchase a new carpet to replace the threadbare one laid down many last orders ago for whatever reason.The owner could also make an effort to tidy up outside the pub aswell to make it slightly more inviting.That said my recent afternoon visit was enjoyable with a very polite barmaid and a few locals who were friendly.My return later in the evening to watch the live band was also an enjoyable experience and now I’m again a local I shall use the pub regularly. Read moreTypical “local-community” pub, very run down; perhaps on its last legs, broken chairs, sticky tables, threadbare carpet, unhygienic toilets, mattresses dumped in car park, garden is an eyesore. some of the staff should not be working in hospitality; unprofessional attitudes, abusive language, standing at entrance smoking whilst patrons waiting to be served, landlord is never on site. Thankfully does not serve food, but a nice Chinese opposite.
