Dear team,

I just wanted to extend a sincere thank you for the lovely experience my family had while celebrating my mum’s birthday last light. From start to finish, everything was handled with such care and professionalism, and we truly had a fantastic time.

Team: you were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. A special thank you to the manager for allowing us to play our own music—it added such a personal and joyful touch to the evening.

The food was delicious! The Jerk BBQ wings were a hit at our table, and the Mac & Cheese was tasty (though could’ve used a little more cooking in). The goat was full of flavour, however slightly too much pepper for some of us—but these are just minor notes. Overall, the meal was excellent.

Gunni – Thank you for your patience and outstanding customer service while assisting with the music. Rasel – Always at hand and serving with care—well done! Sara – Great job keeping our glasses replenished. Dania – Fantastic work with the drinks. Miriam – Thank you for your patience while taking our food order. I visited Afrikana Hounslow this afternoon and while the food was good, the overall experience was disappointing.

The dishes were tasty, with generous portions and nice plating. However, the service and attention to detail did not match the quality of the food. The table we were seated at was sticky, which gave a poor first impression. When our meals arrived, no sauces were provided even though they were served with potato chips. Drinks were brought out after the food rather than before, which felt poorly timed. On top of that, no one came over to check if everything was okay with our meal, and we weren’t even asked if we wanted to order dessert.

The drinks themselves were not presented properly, as the glasses for cold beverages were warm to the touch. With only five tables occupied this afternoon and two waiting staff on the floor, the lack of attentiveness was surprising.

Finally, when the bill was brought, it wasn’t presented in a bill folder, which felt unprofessional.

Overall, while I can’t fault the food itself, the lack of care in service, cleanliness, and professionalism took away from what could have been a much better...
