The Horns Pub in West Norwood has a lot of potential, but my recent visit left me feeling underwhelmed, especially when it comes to pricing. At £1.50 for a game of pool and £6.10 for a pint, it feels like you're paying a premium for an experience that doesn't quite match up. While I understand that it's not the West End, I can't help but think there are better and more affordable options nearby, like the Colby on Gypsy Hill, right across from Gypsy Station.
Unfortunately, there is also an issue with fights occurring in the pub most weekends, and the police have been called a number of times. This never happened with the last landlady, and as a result, I have stopped drinking in this pub at weekends due to the fights.

Read moreThis pub is by far the worst atmosphere and holds the worst customer service I know ! I came in with three other people to play pool. Bear in mind I have to pay to play considering this pool table is inside their venue I should be accounted as a paying customer as they receive all money I put into the machine right ? Apparently not the man in charge demanded I buy a drink in order to play which I explained I will I am just waiting a while as I am on medication . He then accepted id from us all which was given as a photo from our phones which by law shouldn’t be accepted as only military cards , citizenship cards passports and provisionals are valid under the think 25 act . He aggressively allowed his customers to belittle me and make me feel forced into buying drinks and said all 4 of us HAVE to buy drinks there in order to be welcomed ?! I am contacting their council with video...

They seem not to have special hour for drinks, BUT with beers at under a Fiver, you cannot beat this place.
Very friendly local staff (a welcome bonus).
If you pay by credit / debit card, minimum £5 applies.
And yes, good food is offered as well as liquors. Menu is simple but comfort food. Don't be ashamed to ask how to work the salt/pepper... Modem Stuff, hey)
A word of advice... The loo (cubicle) needs a key from the bar. Wee wee is fine. Also there are deals on websites for cheaper deals... If you...
