Had almost certainly my last drink in #TheKentishBelle last night
Having been a regular customer since opening night, I saw a sign showing that they are refusing cash from 1st July
This is an incredibly short-sighted move

The role of Cash
It ensures your freedom and autonomy. Banknotes and coins are the only form of money that people can keep without involving a third party.
It's legal tender. It ensures your privacy. It's inclusive. It helps you keep track of your expenses. It's fast. It's secure. It's a...
Read moreReally disappointed. We've been coming here since it opened. On Friday evening, after buying our pints, we realised there was a dog on a seat, with it's mouth over the table.
After telling the bar staff one of us was asthmatic and had been hospitalised by dog induced asthma attacks, we had to down our pints outside on the pavement in the cold. We saw the same staff member inside in the warmth, and they were petting the dog.
Very unhygienic, and not really sensible allowing dogs (except guide dogs) into pubs, especially, when they're busy. Dogs get excited, and if you allow one, you could get several. Which is very disruptive.
Sad being asthmatic and dog sensitive, yet another pub we're now excuded from. Because dogs take priority, even though they don't buy anything. Dog owners often blame other people, when it's them inflicting their dogs on others in...

Female toilets are on the ground floor, while the male toilet is on the First floor. The entrance door is adequate to allow most wheelchair users. Two large chalkboards display the beer and cider menus. Three kegbeers and up to seven cask beers are on offer. Beer and cider is served straight from the cask in lined glasses, available in pint, half pint and third glases. A selection of craft beer as well as wines and spirits. Pump clips were fixed to the stairwell walls and are extending to other walls. Prices vary. October 2023 saw a new owner take possession. Fixed seating has been replaced by loose furniture. The pub welcomes children and is dog friendly. Since August 2024 the pub has...
