A friendly suggestion for changing the concept of this restaurant and introducing more planet-friendly meals for kids and adults.
I deeply care about nature and the future of our planet that’s why I decided to write this post. This cafe has such a big potential to become the best sustainable plant-based cafe because it’s located in the heart of the wetland wildlife park which is quite unique by itself.
However, the current menu is not aligned with the Wetland Centre’s values and sustainability goals such as protecting nature, and wildlife and reducing environmental impact.
I was glad to see some vegan options on the menu but the majority of the options were with meat (pork, beef, fish) and dairy.
There is a substantial amount of research on how animal farming is the number ONE destroyer of forests, oceans and nature.
I believe this place should show more initiative in turning vegan, green and sustainable because all people who visit this place love nature and are open to nature-friendly meals.
I would appreciate it if my review will be taken into consideration.

Such a shame after paying a small fortune to enter the centre we thought that the cafe would reflect the price. The queued while short took a long time, the service was erupt and rude with one word answers and huffing and puffing. Completely unacceptable behaviour especially in front of the children who found the woman quite scary. Because of this I didn’t say anything to the staff as I didn’t want the children to feel any worse. We sat at a dirty sticky table ate quickly to cheer up the kids. We had a lovely time at the centre after. My advice is bring a pack lunch and...
