Five Guys Burgers and Fries Uxbridge — Restaurant in London

It is a smart, fun, trendy, cool, place to go. Especially with a group. It is expensive tho. Menus a little bit complicated, expensive. Not good value for money. But the staff are extremely friendly and will help you choose your toppings and understand about how to order. Did I mention it's expensive. A medium burger has two beef patties . (Whispers, burgers, to you and me, as it's not cool to call them that in there. Shouts out BURGERS). I was thinking one will be enough, so that's it's called a small. The burger is so thinn, that's why you need two to make a regular feeling burger, a medium then...ok. You have been warned. We're so preconditioned by MacD's. That we expect be able to get a coffee, but no, not here. Then the general theme goes on with thire expensive menu, you want what? "No not here! " they will say. Oh and you don't get a lot for your money. The burger meat itself was delicious and a great quality. The bum not so, but fair. I ordered Mayo on mine oh boy do they slap it on! :( I had spicy fries, the taste is amazing, delicious, only thing is after you've had about four or five, they start to get a bit sickly. If possible order two regular fries and one spicy fries, to share. I know it's expensive. But you don't want to tight, in front of your mates. The seats of high stools look great. But oooh are they hard and uncomfortable. I know some eateries deliberately have hard seats so that you don't hang around and move on freeing up places. But the place was hardly packed at the time. There are a lot of tables and chairs I really don't know that it would ever be that full up, that they have to think about moving people on, with num bums. As it's expensive I would expected very comfortable stool to savour my meal on. You may as well sit on the cold floor to eat... I blame the bloody accountants. Now a good thing, when you buy a soft drink, its then completely free to refill as many times as you like, something to make you money up with. The good news doesn't stop there as they have different Coca Cola flavours like orange raspberry amongst the cherry and vanilla you would expect, diet ect. Plus other soft drinks to choose. Wooo whooo. Fill them cups, people. The drinks machine is fun. Go easy on the ice. Yeah it's a bit hidden a fare far walk each time. Wonder why that is...did I say you can re fill as many times as you like... hear that accountants. Again if in a group you could try out all the flavours, then shair. Which brings me nicely onto, Toilet are upstairs for you who need to know, about stairs. Absolutely immaculately clean when I was there. Downstairs has a long bench table arrangement which you can look out onto the street to, good people watching to be had. There is some seating at the very rear, bit more private. Upstairs feels that bit special like being up on a top deck of a bus. I don't know why! So overall a pretty cool place to go hang out. But expensive, not getting your money's worth. Food fair...

I have the privilege of visiting all the five guys restaurants in the south of England as I carry out work within there buildings as a sub contractor. But this is the first time I have felt I needed to review a place and share my experience. Firstly, the team here are amazing. Laughing and smiling that creates an atmosphere you can feel as you step through the door. I am always greeted with an elbow bump and genuine questions about how I am and how my day has been etc. The prep kitchen is exceptional well kept. Clean doesn’t do it justices as a word. The training and leadership qualities the management team have installed in their staff really shows, and you can see how proud the team are of the standards they keep. Today I popped into the restaurant, unannounced to see when my next visit was due. The now usual hospitality met me, two of the management team asking me questions about my day etc etc. I mentioned it had been a long day and longer still by the couple of hours drive I had to do to get home. In hearing this, it was insisted they got me something to eat and drink as it would be late when I got in. Amazing, considering I wasn’t even doing anything for them on this visit. Now the food, wow! Tender, juicy and fresh! A taste sensation from that little brown understated bag. Big portion of fries and and incredible burger.

As a guy that’s seen them all, it’s well worth a small tube trip out of the city and heading to the team...

Very clean and large establishment, the burgers are made in the classic American style with lots of optional toppings. The portion sizes are large but you definitely get what you pay for.

A child's size portion is usually enough to fill me up but I only seem to go into 5 Guys when I'm extremely hungry so I always grab a regular burger with 🥓 🥓

I've recently gone Vegan, but I still come in for the fries 🍟 😩. A large order will get you an entire large cup of fries plus about half a bags worth in the inside, they don't skimp on the fries at all! You can also get your order salted or with cajun style seasoning to spice it up a bit.

Inside, there is both upstairs and downstairs seating to fit a large amount of people in, but I've never seen the restaurant packed to the brim so it's always easy to find seating in both areas.

Definitely would reccomend as an upgrade to your typical big mac order, the quality of the meat is definitely worth the price and the burgers never disappoint...
