I am an advocate for asylum seekers and have used this cafe in the past to meet my clients. Today I met 2 clients, I bought drinks for all of us and started my session. I had a half eaten sandwich in my bag. As outreach workers we don't get breaks or lunch times, we eat when we can. After each bite I put the sandwich back in my bag. Read moreThe Oak cafe is a good local cafe offering a wide range of traditional luchtime fare at reasonable prices with friendly service.
The food was good - I had a spicy chicken and cheese baguette with salad paired with a lemon iced tea. This was fresh and tasty. My companion had a cheese and coleslaw baked potato with side salad and an iced tea also.
The baked potato was cooked very well - fluffy inside and crispy skin.
The walls in the oak cafe are adorned with motivational messages ready to help kickstart your day or life as required.
Overall a good place for a qucik...
