I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a pint at The Prince of Wales in Surbiton, and it was an exceptional experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a charming blend of traditional pub vibes and modern touches. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that everyone felt welcome and well taken care of. The selection of beers was impressive, with a great variety of local brews and classic favorites. I opted for a pint of their finest ale, and it did not disappoint – perfectly chilled and full of flavor. The pub also had a lovely outdoor seating area, which was perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Overall, The Prince of Wales is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy a quality pint in a cozy and friendly setting. Highly recommended!

Just had to give the extra star. I continue to call the Prince my local although l unfortunately can’t visit as often as l would wish. Great selection of beers, wines and spirits, the bar area is comfortable plus a super outside area which is lovely in the summer with plenty of seating and a dedicated children’s area plus winter times has it has heating for those chilly evenings. All topped off with a good kitchen providing a very good food.

in a classic British pub, the famous Prince of Wales pub in the area Surbiton,117 Ewell Rd. has classic beers and drinks, but the surprise came from chef Dimitris who, with few other important touches in the menu(elleniki kitchen), has made the food a delicious treat in combination with its beautiful courtyard and play corner! It was one of the most enjoyable exits in London !! Also the lives is Best !

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW (how one toxic person can destroy what multiple good staff members built over years) Thanks for replying, but the message feels as cold and rigid as the interaction with your staff member , and i repeat he wasn't polite or friendly at all , please check the audio as well on CCTV. I understand rules exist, but tone matters, and this was pure ego flex, not hospitality. Also, saying all dogs were on leads except mine is simply untrue—I’ve been there when others were off-lead and even helped a couple find their lost dog that wandered into the kitchen. Sad to lose a regular customer over this, ( more than 3 years of going there with my partner at least few times a week) and all the rest of the staff is really friendly and nice , it's a shame being human matters less than sticking to a script. Won't be returning - there are plenty of places that understand customer service means treating people with basic respect, not just following rules robotically.

Walked in this lovely pub with my 12-year-old maltese poodle - imagine this threatening little creature. Nice atmosphere, good location, shame about the new staff member who apparently gets his daily dopamine hit from terrorizing elderly dogs. 'dog needs to be on a leash' with a dead tone and no feelings. Very uncomfortable to witness, poor old dog did nothing. Imagine being so starved for power that you need to flex on a senior citizen curly dog to feel alive. Some people will rather guard an empty rule than host presence and...

Have been a regular at the prince for over 25 years , and in that period have seen a lot of staff and management changes , and never had any issues , however since the tenancy take over things have changed. The house white wine used to be £4.70 for a medium glass (175ml). Since the take over its now £6.25 or £6.50 depending on what day of the week it is. That’s fine I appreciate prices rise , and money has to be made. So accepting that’s the price I thought I’ll go back to lager and have the occasional white wine, so next time I had a “house white wine “ I was told that’s £7.10 , when I asked why it had gone up they said the house white was now a Pinot , and the house white I’d had previously was no more.

So this Evening 28/7/22 I thought I’ll jut have a small house white ( Pinot ) for the road , only to be told that is also £7.10 , I questioned this with bar staff member who said that’s what till says , she then asked what I assume to be a manager / supervisor why this was the case , to which he replied we dont do small measures. Would have been nice to have been told this before I ordered it , I declined the wine , and it was taken away. No apology or explanation , customer service at its best. No reflection on the bar staff member , as she’s probably just...

I popped in last night for a quick beer the guy behind the bar never greeted me with a smile or a hello, not that he looked friendly either way. He chatted to the older gentleman at the bar who made me feel uneasy. After I ordered an alcohol free beer he put it on the bar and then showed me a card machine without even telling me how much it was, when I asked he said "£4.20" barely giving eye contact. After he proceeded to put the receipt in the till and go back to his conversation with the man. No thank you no recognition for the sale.. I was so cross at the service I received I put the beer on the bar and walked out.

With energy prices on the rise and hospitality at the forefront to be one of the worst hit the prince of wales should be valuing customers walking through the door willing to spend the little disposable income they have not alienating them with poor...
