Went to the Stevenage UK branch of Chiquita for lunch right at 12 o'clock on Sunday the 16th of October 2016 with my wife and 3 grandkids. There was no one at reception so we wondered around where to sit since the tables have not been cleared and cleaned off I guess from the previous night. The ones that had no leftover dishes on had been sticky from the previous nights guests I guess. Set around for around 15 mins nobody came to the table to ask us anything. Got up asked one of the 3 employees on duty for a menu she managed to find some for us. Out of the 3 employees 2 were busying themselves at the empty bar trying not to notice us and one guy was carrying food around for the few guests that was there. So why was this restaurant almost empty at Noon time on Sunday while the others had been packed in the leisure park?? Must be the service. We ended up not ordering anything because no one came to clean the table off, no one came to ask us what we do there, and the place was dirty dark and grimy. That was it for the Chiquita experience for us the first and last time. Ohh, the food was very affordable for most families on the menu. If a family of 4 goes an easy 100-120 pounds for food and drinks. The food menu is confusing because you don't know what you'll get. We ended up at Miki D for 23 pounds for the 5 of us and had a belly full of food and the grandkids loved it. Get an effective general manager that knows how to run a restaurant and can motivate and keep good employees. Ohh, have a suggestion box for the employees too where they can anonymously let you know what needs to be improved and take...
Read moreAbsolutely USELESS. If there was an option for zero stars, that's what this company deserves. I have been chasing them for 3 weeks regarding a refund from The Curator in Heathrow (one of the restaurants under this company) as I was supposed to receive a refund for one of my meals as it went through the system twice. The initial response took way too long for someone from the 'Guest Experience Team' and even though I had provided all the required details and proof they requested, I, the customer, was the one who had to constantly check up on the enquiry as the person I was speaking to would stop replying for days. Finally, he responded saying that my details have been passed onto the finance team...I thought I'd be patient and give them the benefit of the doubt, as he assured that I would receive the refund within 5 working days. I understand the company manages many different restaurants, but surely the company is not receiving thousands of complaints or guest enquiries for the Guest Experience Team to handle, (and if they are...that is red flag.) Whether it is £2, £20 or £200, when a business has made the mistake of double charging a customer, it is their responsibility to try and solve the issue asap. A similar situation has happened to me in Australia before, and the management team was onto it straight away and following up promptly with evidence of transfers etc. It seems like this company has zero understanding of customer services, total disregard of other people's time and lack of integrity as a company. It really shouldn't take long to transfer funds from one...

The Restaurant Group own The Filling Station on Edinburgh's Royal Mile.
The Filling Station's drain spewed raw human sewage into my back garden over a period of around 36 hours.
They have been aware of this now for 27 hours and have yet to clean a single piece of faeces from the back garden.
I have made them aware that the fetid pool of faeces is directly underneath my 6 year old daughter's bedroom window and that this is universally recognised as a danger to health.
There is currently between a foot and 18 inches of their sewage lying in a stinking pool which they have no urgency to clear whatsoever.
The manager at the Filling Station has been commendable in his dealing with this issue. Quite clearly his level of integrity is not reflected by his employer though.
How on earth people who are happy to leave faeces lying around have the gall to use the word "restaurant" in their company name is beyond...
