Found this lovely little Italian restaurant just outside of Borough area in London (near London Bridge for the non local). Greeted by very friendly Italian waiter (might have been the owner) who gave us a detailed description of the specials which gave a few extra choices on top of a fairly simple menu. I had the Lasagne and hubby had a Pizza from the specials. We weren't left to wait long before our food came out. Hubby's Pizza was definitely home made and looked delicious (he said it was) and my Lasagne had a really authentic look about it that could only have been achieved by someone who knows how to make Lasagne properly! There was no minced beef in sight, instead little chunks of the most delicious beef, tender and tasty, wrapped in super soft pasta and a zingy tomato sauce. Whilst I was full afterwards, the greedy me would ask whether the portion was a bit small and wonder why there was no side salad or bread for the table...especially at the £17.50 price. It was a lovely meal and I'd recommend this place but set your expectations for smaller portions or add extras to give you the bigger meal. Price wise, I guess I'm out of practice for eating out and it was probably typical of prices these days. The only actual reason for not giving 5 stars is the £3 price for the can of diet coke I was served which had 90p printed on the tin courtesy of...

I work around the corner and am a regular at this restaurant. I used to love the food which was of consistently high quality and the service that was friendly, personal and efficient. A few weeks ago I would have given this place five stars for sure.

I went there for a late lunch today and it was so bad that I will not return. I ordered the parmigiana (which I must've had 20 times in the last twelve months). Instead of the small oven dish it usually comes in, it came in a small plate, it was lukewarm and it wasn't a dish, just a little bit of aubergine with hardly any cheese. The bread used to be fresh and crusty, now it was stale white baguette. My partner ordered the salsiccia which - frankly - was appalling.

I asked the waitress about this change in quality and all she did was look at my plate and say 'You ate the food'. She also mentioned that there was a new chef, though I'm not sure she understood what I was trying to tell her about the drastic change in quality.

I will unfortunately not be returning to this restaurant which makes me a bit sad because it used to be a great and very reliable...

The food was nice and the owner seemed friendly but after me and my friend left the restaurant, we noticed we were scammed. I thought I must've mistook the price and saw the menu wrongly as we were there quite late about 10pm+, but my friend told me that her parmigiana was not the same price as what she had saw on the menu. I checked the menu and I recalled myself that my "pasta of the day" was about £18+ too (which you can also confirm on their menu). But I had paid £28.12 for their "special pasta of the day" which was indicated as £18.90 on the menu and my friend paid about £15 for her parmigiana which was stated as about £9 on the menu. Pretty sure those were not service charge because they added more than£10 to our total bill. Not happy with the way they deceived us like this. Unfortunately we won't come back again even if the food was fine because of this dishonesty. 😔😔😔 Which really disappointed me because my friend had just gone through a really rough time and got laid off after being hospitalized and this just added to the mistrust towards...

I want to be fair so I will review the restaurant in separate categories. Service: The service was ok although the main waiter who was the cousin of the owner was quite arrogant and was very slow to attend to us. Food: The food was ok we had the spicy prawn for the starter which was good and for the main we had the fish stew which I thought was ok but had a few flaws such as it was quite gritty because the mussels were not washed properly and the squid was quite rubbery as it was over cooked. Price: The food and drink was expensive. The starters were £15 and the mains over 30. And to top it all I was charged £14 for a bottle of water. Overall it cost us £140 for 2 people which is alot for what we received and definitely on the higher price range. Overall experience: I will say overall this restaurant is expensive and not as good value for money. I personally would not really recommend people to visit here as it is not good value for money for the food and service.

We saw this restaurant advertising live opera so made a reservation, excited for something different. Unfortunately on the night we visited, there was no live music of any kind and we weren't informed when we made the booking. Regardless the owner is clearly passionate about food. He came to the table with a board of seasonal specialties and explained all of the dishes which we really enjoyed. We had high hopes given this but found the food to be lack lustre. Our pizza- a speciality on the menu- was bland. The sauce didn't have any other notable seasoning in it apart from garlic. The cannelloni (which is on their permanent menu) had pesto in it (not listed on the menu) which we didn't think melded with the other flavours in the dish. It's a shame the food isn't great because the passion of the owner is a delight to see and quite rare! Regardless, the wine that was recommended to us was delicious.
