🚇 Finsbury Park 🍺 £5.80 Estrella ❤️ A Finsbury Park pub suitable for all occasions. . The World’s End is situated on Stroud Green Road and just a two minute walk from the Wells Terrace exit of Finsbury Park Station. . This sizeable was built in the late 19th century. the pub has had a few names over the years, the original being The Earl of Essex. . At the centre of the pub is an island bar which has various sections sections attached to it, the noticeable being the vaulted ceilinged live music area. The decor is cheerful with contemporary touches throughout. . The beer line up is full of mainstream favourites, I ordered an Estrella which was good and under six quid. The food menu is simple and consists of a mix of pub classics, small plates and sharers. Fish & Chips cost £15.50. . I visited late afternoon on a Friday and the pub was starting to fill up. There is loads to keep you entertained here including quiz nights, live sport and live music on the weekends. This pub is a favourite with Arsenal fans and gets rammed on match days. . @worldsendfinsburypark is part of the @metropubco who have many notable pubs across London. The World’s End has a bit of something for everyone and well worth a visit. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 23/09/22

Used to visit this place quite frequently back in the day and remembered the food being half-decent, so popped in as was passing and got the "chicken" club sandwich. Trace elements of chicken in the mayo, under brown/grey bacon and three slices of Chorleywood bread. About an inch and a half of the sandwich contained nothing but bread (see photo). The avo and tomato was fresh, I guess. Predictably it gave me a bad stomach which I then had for over 24 hours. Barman was miserable (all he did was grunt at me) and disinterested in anything other than staring at his phone. When I took my glass up and ordered another beer, he just grabbed my dirty glass, refilled that, then grunted again. Depressing experience all round (except for the playlist - the music was good - and the beer was well kept). It's still a decent drinking pub, but goes without saying I won't be back for a while.

The qr scan for ordering food is very very slow not only on my phone but on my partners phone which was infuriating and set the tone unfortunately. The food took 30 minutes to arrive, I paid 15 pounds for a cheese burger that had mozzarella sticks inside, but didn’t include fries on the side so I ended up paying an additional £5. The £5 coleslaw was swimming In mayonnaise and came what looked like a dog bowl. The food was nice, but I wouldn’t pay that much again. I asked a member of staff for hot sauce which never came, my partner found the bartender rude and paid 4.50 for a pint of Diet Coke. Overall a little expensive for a regular pub burger meal, with not so great customer service and an annoying app.

Travelled here for a Sunday roast on 15th May, after previously having had one a few weeks prior which was pretty good. In total we spent £50 on 3 roast dinners… when we were given the two vegan wellingtons the pastry was completely raw, and so we politely asked for them to return them to the kitchen and cook them some more. The waiter did so but when he came back out he said “the kitchen have said it’s because of the nature of the vegan dish, the pastry can’t be cooked properly”. Firstly, we’ve just spent £15 each on this, if you can’t cook it properly because of the vegan recipe why are you selling it as an option, secondly we ordered the exact same a few weeks prior which arrived cooked!

We then received our plates back, and the roast potatoes were completely inedible, it tasted as though they had been cooked days prior and left out. All three of us left every roast potato which is very unlike us! The other dish was chicken and they were given the boniest part of the chicken with barely any on it (£17). We addressed the fact we had all had to leave half of our meals to the waiter and asked him to feed this back to the kitchen. The waiters response was sarcastic and rude. There was no offer of any form of solution and he rolled his eyes and just said “rightttt…” and walked away.

Will never be eating or drinking here in the future. Awful Sunday dinner combined with an...

Sorry to say I had a bad experience food-wise here.

We went for the quiz last Thursday and it was great. Aside from allowing groups of 10 (why?!) the quiz itself was great fun and really well put together.

The food, on the other hand, was not. The app is unnecessarily complicated (especially compared to apps in other pubs) but i ordered on it and my food didn't turn up for over an hour.

I was enjoying the quiz so I put up with the wait, but eventually I went to the bar to see what was going on.

Was told that they had been round several times trying to deliver my food, which they were convinced was meant to go to table 22 (the only number on my table was 35 so obviously I ordered there - I checked on the app and I had definitely done so). After having to ask twice that my food be brought down from the kitchen, they reluctantly agreed (even though I'd paid good money for it) and I got my lukewarm bao bun and Cauliflower wings. They were mediocre at best.

Quiz is great, don't bother with food - there seem to be a lot of complaints about this in the reviews so let's hope the management take...
