Tik Ka Upminster — Restaurant in London

I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Tik Ka Chinese Takeaway, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. We decided to go for two portions of sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice, accompanied by bubble tea. Despite encountering some initial issues with our order, the attentive and efficient staff quickly resolved the problem, making sure we were satisfied customers.

The sweet and sour chicken was divine. The chicken was tender and well-cooked, with a generous amount of sweet and tangy sauce that had the perfect balance of flavors. The sauce complemented the chicken without overpowering it, which is crucial for a dish like this. The egg fried rice was an excellent side, with fluffy grains of rice and just the right amount of egg and seasoning to enhance the overall taste.

The staff at Tik Ka deserve a special mention for their outstanding customer service. They were prompt in addressing the issue we had with our order and made sure we were happy with the resolution. It's not often that you come across such dedicated staff, and it's evident that they take great pride in ensuring the satisfaction of their patrons.

Overall, our experience at Tik Ka Chinese Takeaway was nothing short of delightful. The food was delicious, the bubble tea was refreshing, and the service was commendable. Previous reviews cannot be aware of my findings . Food is prepared and stored in outside area where rats and cockroaches roam, see pics if you disbelieve. Whilst I watched in horror as rats took turns at eating food stored almost at ground level in tubs fully exposed. DO NOT EAT HERE you risk illness . This restaurant has been reported to authorities . UPDATE : In response to the restaurants response to my review, I am utterly disgusted that you try to hide behind my findings by using racism. I employ 86 people and all from different backgrounds including south east Asian so would love you to pick me out in a line up as the person who threw racist comments to you . My sister in law is a hygiene inspector and I showed her these pics and her words were , thats vile and breaks all rules where and how the food is being stored . As a result of you not accepting my review I shall now proceed to inform EVERYONE in the local vicinity of my findings , in no time at all the whole of upminster will know about this . Shocking! The good reviews must be fake.

After reading the high reviews we decides to give this place a try. As soon as we walked in, the temperature was freezing. There are ZERO heaters in the restaurant and upon complaining to staff, they turned on a very small fan heater, which blew warm air gently, doing absolutely nothing.

To make things worse, I went to the toilet to wash my hands before eating where I was greeted with piss everywhere! Literally on the floor, all over the toilet... The place was in a state! We were the only ones in the restaurant so it could have been staff.

Lastly the service was pathetic. Took absolutely ages to pay and leave. There was only one staff on a Saturday evening who was prioritising take out orders over us, the paying in customers.

Food itself wasn't great either. Was edible, but that's about it.

Would never ever go here again nor recommend.
