Can't patronise your shop anymore until you start providing hot 'cooked' food from the pot of from food-warmers.

All this bulk cooking, refrigerated, and microwave cooking just can't work wid Caribbean food.

I purchased a large curry goat meal (£18) only for the woman to dissappear round the back of the shop, she returned with 2no large containers, and went straight to the microwave, I stopped her and asked to bag the food so I could reheat-re-cook at home.

The curried goat was freezing cold and clearly out of the fridge.... Didn't want to make a fuss so just made the purchase.

Unfortunately after heating up thoroughly in a pot at home, the goat was 50% bone and what meat was there was tough so the entire food went straight in the bin.

Couldn't be asked to complain the next day. Call me fussy but if y'all can't be bothered to repeat cook and turn over during the day then I can't give y'all £18 for cold, bony,...

Tree Island is QUALITY, this GEM sells fresh everything. EVERYTHING IS IN STOCK & plentiful. The twist dumplings, the oxtail, the brown stew was all exceptional- seasoned, fresh. Also, the rice and peas alone - fluffy, tasty..could eat it on its own.

If you know anything about Caribbean takeaways, you know to expect bare minimum. 'WE NUH HAV' IT!' This is a world away from that. Open from early too...I got all my food at 11am (and there were already a few customers in there).

Tree Island is outstanding and I will always come buy food whenever in the area. Could even make the trip specifically just for the food!

I ordered a rum cake here and boy I was not disappointed. The cake was large, fresh and moist. It was for my sister who is a professional birthday her colleagues of mixed ethnic origins loved it. Her flatmates is from the Caribbean and said it is the best time cake she had ever tasted. The chef Anthony is approachable and listened to what I was asking for. He was friendly and helpful. When I went to collect the rum cake the premises was clean and the fresh food was being prepared.
