Been here before pre covid/lockdown and the experience was okay - not the best roti I’ve had as it was rather dry and the curry goat had a lot of bones (other roti places tend to buy just the goat meat or at least pick out majority bones). My experience today was awful - I’m medically exempt from wearing a mask/face covering (I showed my exemption badge) to be told I can’t purchase food from here. I don’t live in North West London and on this occasion I fancied a roti. The shop had protective screens up and only contact would be the food exchange (I had the exact money to leave on the side) The man was actually rather rude - whilst I can appreciate ‘protecting the vulnerable’ he barked at me that the vulnerable was round the back of the shop... I’m all for supporting a black business but this is where a lot fail... basic customer service and manners. I was told to order online - again I’m not from the area and was passing through or I should get someone else to order on my behalf - I was by myself. I’m aware of the guidelines of wearing a mask and whilst a lot of stores say to wear a mask on entry IM EXEMPT. I couldn’t believe as a PAYING customer I was refused. I won’t be coming back here nor will I recommend. #BEKIND is definitely needed within this establishment. The man could’ve easily said: “unfortunately because you’re exempt and can’t wear a mask, I can take the order but please wait outside and when it’s ready I’ll leave it on the table. Please have the correct change and also leave on the table”. Completely shocked by the awful customer service especially from an older generation man. Judging by other reviews I’m not the only one with this opinion and their responses to the reviews strengthens my point about manners etc. As I also can’t respond directly to the pompous owners - YES my review is solely based on the refusal of being served and the extremely rude & arrogant attitude of this takeaway. As I mentioned there was other ways to be served other than me standing in the shop itself. My review is also to warn potential customers what kind of people they’re buying food from. The point of reviews is to cover your experience - which I did on both occasions I came...

I have not been here for a while and decided today Friday 04 August I would get a take away. I bought the special curry goat and plain rice for £9.00 .I waited a very long time for the food . I was happy to wait for the curry goat .When I received my order I went straight to the salon. I opened the container and removed the macaroni cheese. There was some plantain in the container . I tasted it . It was old and stale , very dry. I then tasted the goat it was like it was boiled and had some seasoning sprinkled on the top. Even the people in the salon were scrutinising the food . Awful Awful small amount of meat and all dried up.I then went back to the roti shop to tell them I was not happy with my order. The son took the container and walked to the back of the takeaway. The mother shouted " she is that one that always complains from Notting hill" excuse me I do not come here often and I am not from Notting hill or from the families name you mentioned ? I am actually a customer . I did not want a refund only to discuss my concerns about my order. The mother then shouted at me "Get out of my shop , Get out , Get out ". Is this a way to speak to your customers ? I think not .After reading the reviews on trip advisor I wish I had seen them before I visited today .Many many complaints. So please stay away! Look at the trip advisor reviews .The lady is not professional at all . Not listening to the customers and having a bad attitude.Good luck with keeping your...

Rude, rude, rude. Short fiery HEARTLESS Manager. Not inviting at all... Didn't think I needed to read the reviews first, wish I had. All because i asked his name after i placed my order over the phone. On attending an empty shop I prepaid for my order and in exchange politely challenged his rudeness face to face. I asked why he put the phone down on me when I asked his name, he said because I was coming into the shop. He said I would not have asked a white person their name, so why ask him. I was then told that i'm not from the Caribbean, i'm a racist, I'm TOO WHITE, all because I asked his name. I should have stayed in my car from when I made my order and driven off, but out of respect even though he could have been bad with my food, i still went and paid for the Rotis. I said, if I wasn't collecting for someone I would have left. This fuelled him and he refunded my note. If he refunded me in coins, i believe he would have thrown them at me. He then sped round the counter thonking he was going to escort me out. REALLY...Dont think so. :( I'm a 50+ woman. Invest first and foremost in BLACK business where possible. Its a good thing that people are investing in the business and not the Manager or only God knows. To the MANAGER... Type whatever response you like. I NEVER ADDRESSED where you originate from ONCE because I was there to buy food. Your abuse...

⭐☆☆☆☆ A five-star experience... if you're into passive-aggressive owners and awkward hostility! Stopped by for what I thought would be a chill food discovery. A lovely lady took my roti order with a warm smile — the kind of welcome that makes you want to support a local spot. Then came the plot twist. I stepped outside to take a quick video of the shop (you know, like any modern human sharing cool finds with friends) — only to be greeted on return by what I assume was the owner, dripping with charm and suspicion. With a grin that could cut glass, he asked, "Why are you recording my shop?" — as if I’d walked in wearing a wire. Didn’t know filming my lunch spot now counts as undercover journalism. Had me wondering if there’s more going on in that kitchen than just curry. Secret recipes? Underground roti ring? Who knows. Anyway — food might be decent, but the side of attitude? Way too spicy for me.

Small roti shop with a few seats. The staff are not very professional, but that is typical of this type of establishment. The menu is adequate for a roti shop with more options than just roti. The drinks available are also quite adequate and very true to what Trinidadians usually have with their roti meals. The doubles are absolutely not authentic. The doubles are too thick and the consistency is not what you normally get with doubles in Trinidad. The phalorie is also a bit on the heavy side. You do also have a few typical Trinidadian snacks and other bits available so that's a nice touch to make the place feel more true to the Trinidadian vibe. The roti is quite good. I would recommend you try the roti but avoid the other dishes. It's worth a visit if you want some Trinidadian roti and you're in the area but I won't go out of my way to visit this shop.

I traveled across the country to visit the shop. There may be lots of Caribbean shops, but there are hardly any Trinidadian food shops. The service was very quick and they were very polite. They have drink options available that you can only get from Trinidad. The food was fantastic. The doubles were amazing. The curry goats and roti made perfectly. The pholourie was very Tasty. I’m Trinidadian myself and although my family can cook all of these meals, it’s always nice to be able to go somewhere we can get a home-cooked meal ready-made to go. Thanks for the home cooked meal.
