Visited on a quiet Thursday evening with work colleagues. Even though the restaurant wasn't full, there was great ambiance. They have different deals each day of the week and Thursdays is 3 Tapas dishes for £25 or 7 Tapas dishes for £50, there are some restrictions but you can still get a very good deal. On the tapas menu is a wide variety of veggie, meaty and fish/seafood options. I split 7 tapas with a colleague and due to extreme hunger, I don't have photos of all 7 dishes but please believe that they were all delicious. I was a little taken aback that the salmon dish only had two chunks of salmon but the courgette and beans underneath were so delicious, that I forgive them. The octopus tentacles were absolutely delectable, great flavour and the perfect texture. Our cauliflower and broccoli could have been a bit more al dente but once again the flavour was amazing and the toasted almonds added a bit of much-needed crunch. Customer service is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional, if you have any questions, Tony will gladly answer you, he has such passion for hospitality and it really shows. The tables are all high tables with the high seats but the seats do have backs on them and rungs to rest your feet so they're not dangling the whole time. If you have mobility issues be aware that the nearest toilet is on the first floor.

After living around the village for 10 years my partner and I decided to give a go and have some drinks and nibbles at Tziganos. The overall experience was great, from the service to the food. You can tell straight way that the team is very focus in providing the best experience to their customers, friendly team of 3 last night, the orders were taken with in minutes. We only had chorizo and bread for nibbles, but from observing others dishes I can tell you that the food is good. The decor of the restaurant is very cozy and warm, Which I loved it. I will definitely come back for a full dining experience.

A group of us did a wine pairing with tapas and a selection of Portuguese wines. None of us in our party are that knowledgeable about this region so it was great to try something different and step outside our wine comfort zone. As for the food, each dish tasted as good as it looked and eating a number of smaller plates rather than starter, main, desert, makes it a much more sociable evening. Tony was the consumate host, explaining each dish as it was served. Friendly atmosphere, great food, fab wine, I can only give this 5 stars!

Where to begin. I had surgery under general anaesthetic yesterday and despite saying to the waiter three times that I would definitely like to order the non alcoholic, zero percent beer, she brought me an alcoholic beer. When I tasted it I clarified with her and she said “oh I’m not sure, I’m not the bar manager”. I asked her to check with him and stressed the importance, and then the manager came and apologised and said it was alcoholic. He asked what he could do and I said “train your staff to take these sorts of requests seriously? It could have been any number of reasons that I’m not drinking”. He said he couldn’t tell her now, as she “might cry” and made out that it wasn’t a big deal as I’d only had a few sips. I’d only had a few sips thanks to my own common sense, and still felt the need to check with a doctor, so this was an inappropriate thing to say. When he came over with the bill, he had taken off the beer but nothing else. He then proceeded to have the actual audacity to say “what was your surgery for?” And when I said I wasn’t comfortable sharing he said “was it in this country?” I was absolutely astounded. Aside from that, the food was mediocre at best. Would...

Reserved a table, originally for 7pm and then changed to 6pm without issue. Overlooked Blackheath Fireworks so it was packed in the local area, and the restaurant was also busy. Male manager was very friendly and interacted well with customers, running here and there to accommodate everyone. Our female waitress was ok - however, we asked for 2 items on the menu that weren’t available and instead of an apology and a suggestion for an alternative, she silently shook her head and shrugged! The food was hot, tasty and well presented - the table for two is a little cramped with 5 tapas dishes and 2 drinks - and we did order a couple of extras once we finished the first round! We would return, but on a quieter night perhaps - it was quite warm and loud in there but I didn’t check the local events so wasn’t anticipating so many people wanting food on a quick turnaround so they could get out to the fireworks. All in all, I...
