Veraison Wines — Restaurant in London

Verasion is pretty new but is seriously impressive, even considering that it is still getting itself set up! The interior is set up to be nice and airy, with lovely racks of wine along the walls. A nice touch is having the prices clearly written on every bottle which I always appreciate!

The wine menu is really wide and there has obviously been a lot of thought and love put into the lists. I'd not tried many of them before and the owner was more than happy to talk through the menu and to find the best match for what we wanted (and she got it spot on!)

The food is a great selection of comfy charcuterie, olives, and raclette toasties. Everything was delicious and arrived very quickly! It's also locally sourced where possible, which is always nice to see!

In short, they are well worth a visit! Particularly as the days get longer and warmer for a cool glass of wine in a summer evening. Give Veraison a try, it really...

Although the bar and the staff are nice, I found it very overpriced for the most basic wines. Almost £31 for two French and an Italian 125ml glasses of wines is absolutely ridiculous. I completely understand that the retail price of those bottle must be quite high for the business, therefore, they have to put prices starting from £9. I get that. But, in my opinion, a place who is specialised in wines, should not offer those type of wines. I’m sorry, but the French £9 glass wine was really bad. If you want to offer something affordable and a much better quality, I would offer Porta 6 or a Protos. Very affordable Portuguese and Spanish origins that are, for my taste, way better. Also, the back of the bar with those cardboard boxes and the bike should not be there for such a lovely place. It breaks...

it's quite hard to find a spot that gives me what i'm looking for for when or if i'm in the mood for one drink - there is a really earnest atmosphere in here which feels very authentic and antithetical to a blatantly "formulaic" vibe i sense in other wine bars in london i've been to. we sat by the bar and chatted to patrycja and can tell she sincerely loves what she does. i think it is well worth the price of a glass beyond the value of the drink for a kind of simple but memorable experience...
