From the moment we stepped into Village Charcoal Grill, the experience was nothing short of amazing. Right from the start, the service set a welcoming tone, with an extremely friendly staff attending to our needs. A special shout-out is due for the young chap whose enthusiasm and attentiveness added an extra layer of joy to our meal.
The starters truly set the stage for what was to come. The hummus was creamy and rich, perfectly paired with warm, freshly baked bread. The falafel was a delightful surprise, with its crisp exterior and flavorful, herb-infused interior ā each bite was a treat to the taste buds. As for the liver, it was a masterclass in texture and taste, cooked to perfection and seasoned to enhance its natural flavors without overwhelming them.
Moving on to the main course, the mixed grill was a carnivore's dream. It offered us a chance to taste nearly every kebab they had on offer, and each was exceptional in its own right. However, the lamb deserves a special mention ā it was the epitome of succulence, with each piece boasting a depth of flavor that was both bold and comforting. The doner kebab, often a dish that many establishments get wrong, was a standout here with its own distinctive seasoning, tender and juicy. Even the chips, often a mere side thought at other venues, were exceptional ā crisp, golden, and the perfect companion to the meats.
In all, Village Charcoal Grill delivers an experience that goes beyond mere dining. Itās a feast for the senses that leaves you planning your next visit before youāve even left your table. If youāre in the mood for authentic grilled delights and a heartwarming dining experience,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible experience, Iāve been going to this restaurant for over 16 + years. Today I had the worst possible experience using my Card. Before I ordered, I specifically stated to one employee, I donāt have my wallet and can only pay via the Apple Pay on my phone which was agreed, reluctantly. Never the less, I encountered just the worst customer service during my wait for my food, seriously felt like walking out. They kept saying the āminimum spend is Ā£35, ādepends what you order, and shrugging there shoulders and giving bad responses when I explained I left my wallet behind.
Why agree on my order in the first place if youāre going to show so much unnecessary attitude. I have ordered many times previously and use to tip them and not even ask for my change back and one little favour I asked them I was made to feel like Iāve commited an offence.
On top of that the food was disgraceful the meat, smelt really bad, over seasoned and extremely salty. To conclude this restaurant, with disgraceful attitude combing with terrible quality of food, you can forget me going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have visited this restaurant countless times. Somehow each time they never cease to amaze. If you're looking for Turkish Food - this is probably the best place in all of Surrey. I used to think it was a bit pricey - but for the quality - its actually reasonable. The staff - and the manager will recognise you and greet you personally on repeat visits - they really get to know you and are really personable. Then the food -the food is amazing. From the Pachanga and the Vine Leaves - to the mixed grill with lamb chops and succulent meat - to the fluffy and aromatic egg fried rice - just really really good. I rarely give 5 star reviews as i always believe there is always room for improvement. I just can't find it here. Just flawless. Excellent service. Great food. Perfectly...
