Very disappointed, Saturday afternoon about 3pm. The place is empty but open as per advertised hours. 3 tables so we choose to sit in the window. No attention, we have to ask the man for menu. 10 minutes later we want to order, a lady is summoned from out back. Now we are told it will be 45 minutes for food but we have not given our order yet? Why 45 minutes, you have been open at least 3 hours so surely rice is cooked? We are also told the window table is reserved, what? No sign on the table and no one else in the place. If you are busy with something else that’s ok but you need to say straight away. I am white British male but my partner is not and she asked for food, what is going on here. Really amazing freshly sushi made to order with love and care for a great price. A very small place with nice staff which adds a sense of exclusivity when eating in. Brilliant covid protections in place.
I would really recommend coming here with a booking; making sure to preorder what you would like on their website before. Some of the sushi have a little twist on them (oven baked). As a Japanese person this can sometimes not hit the mark at all, however this restaurant does it really well. I enjoyed everything that I ordered throughly, as the fried sushi was SO fresh and crispy. You also get free miso soup!

On approaching this unassuming place my initial thought was that the reviews must have been a mistake. There are only 3 tables in there and it was empty on a Friday night! But we carried on and we were not disappointed. The sushi was really very good and so was the service. It was perhaps too quiet for our liking, with no ambient music. We wanted to have a private conversation and couldn't as we were the only ones in there haha.
