After waking up at 4am and rushing to toilet I proceeded to battle with what can only be desribed as demons from the deepest depths of hell. Having previously been put off Weldfinn after having a similar fight for my life many moons ago you would think I would become wiser and more experienced with age. This unfortunately was not the case. Alas there I was a few hours ago on a fateful night with a craving so deep I knew there was only one thing that could satisify me; The deep fried wings of the humble chicken. I scoured the likes of JustEast, UberEats and Deliveroo for a provider of such sustanence and stumbled across my old foe, Weldfinn. To my shock I saw that the reviews made by other patrons totalled to an average of 4 stars and rating that alooded this establishment to be more than above average. I thought to myself as many a fair woman with an unfaithful man had; Maybe they have changed? Maybe they have matured and can now can provide me with the type of relationship I deserve. I therefore with the trust and curiosity of a small child proceeded to place an order for said humble chicken wings of the BBQ variety. I waited for my package to arrive with all the excitment of a child on the morning of Christmas day. Upon revcieving my delivery I gleefuly opened it up to find wings drowned with enough sauce to make the lost city of Atlantis feel bad for me. Noahs ark could not save you from this flood. Not being one to judge a book by its cover and having worked up quite the appetite at this point I tucked in. I found the chicken wings to be as cold as the ice which now forms on my heart with the sauce tasting like cheap ketchup. The chicken itself was of such a poor quality (as was also reconfirmed in the early hours in the morning) that I expect the wet markets of Wuhan could have offered a better alternative. The person who willingly served this to me should be charged with war crimes. They couldnt find any WMD's in Iraq. I however have found some being made in South West London / Surrey and nothing is being done about it. Probably find a fair bit of oil...
Read moreBest fried chicken establishment in the central Kingston area. Salubrious, clean and bright premises. Polite staff. Greeted nicely. The meal. Chips: Although on the thin-side, were cooked fresh, nicely drained and pleasantly crisp to the bite. Fillet-Burger: Soft succulent meat. Decent size and quite filling. The lettuce was crisp, the bun was soft. Warning: the meat was garnished with burger sauce instead of mayo. 1x Fried Breast-piece: Crisply coated, with an aesthetically pleasing bronze veneer. It was not one of those leviathan pieces that has come from some modified chicken with roid-rage and bereft of taste. Flavour and seasoning was pretty much on par with the fillet. Drink: 7-Up. Sorry hoodrats… no Mirinda served here. Price: £5.89 for the Large Burger-Box Meal Deal which included all the above. Pretty good value. Location: It is somewhat out of the way - about 10-15 mins walk from the train station and bus garage. That being said - there is no better way to burn off some of that fried chicken n chips n mayo, than an ambient stroll through Fairfield park. Take the scenic route back to town! I ate there last Friday, just after midday. It was fairly quiet with just a few local punters coming in for a takeaway. It's more discrete location makes for a more pleasant eating experience IMO however, as it avoids the hustle and bustle of lunchtime crowds. OVERALL - Professor Poultry's Grade: B (next time replace the burger sauce with mayo, and I will upgrade...

I recently visited this chicken shop, and I can confidently say it’s the best chicken I’ve ever had! From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a warm, friendly atmosphere, and the smell of freshly cooked chicken is simply irresistible.
The menu is extensive, offering everything from perfectly crispy fried chicken to juicy grilled options that are packed with flavor. I tried the spicy wings, peri wrap, fillet burger, and they were phenomenal! The meat was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of seasoning and heat. The sides were just as impressive – the fries were golden and crispy.
What sets this place apart is their attention to detail. Every piece of chicken tasted fresh, and it’s clear they use high-quality ingredients. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve.
If you’re a fan of chicken, this place is a must-visit! I’ll definitely be coming back (probably sooner than I should). Highly recommend to anyone craving the ultimate...
