UPDATED 06th APRIL 2025… 2nd visit…

So sadly after previously coming here nearly a year ago we decided to go again today and it was completely different.

Me, my partner and kid walked to the food area expecting someone to greet us but there was nobody around, we could see it wasn’t busy. We took a seat and a member of staff walked pass, I asked him if we could order and he tapped the barcode sticker table and walked off… RUDE!

We didn’t have to wait long for the meals, we ordered 2 Jerk chicken roast dinners and a portion of chips for my kid. A waitress brought the food over, didn’t say anything to us and walked off leaving us wondering where’s the cutlery. After a moment we realised she wasn’t coming back so we took a set from another table. Didn’t even offer and sauce for the chips or and salt or pepper.

We started eating and it was absolutely disgusted!! SALTY SALTY SALTY!! 2 dead little potatoes, mushy watery vegetables, the rice was like rice pudding and the 2 dead little pieces of so called jerk chicken… the jerk marinade was nasty! £21 each and £4 for some dead fries! Nearly £50.. we planned to buy drinks once the food came, but there was no way I was spending anymore money in that place!! Two members of staff walked passed us took a glimpse at us/table and never once asked if everything was ok.. you get a better service from them just eat delivery people. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!! NEVER NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!!!! NEVER!!!!

FIRST VISIT…… 2024

Came here over the weekend for a Sunday roast. The layout was very deceiving from the outside I wasn’t expecting such a nice layout! We got drink then headed to the dining area where we were greeted and seated by a nice young lady with cowboy boots, she was really cool.

I ordered the roast pork dinner and my partner ordered the roast chicken dinner. It was a little busy but both plates arrived in good time!! The pork was nice and even came with apple sauce, however the chicken was dry and the potatoes tasted like the where definitely cooked then went cold and the warmed up again! That beetroot & horseradish crush is a NO NO for us nxt time! Also the pork crackling.. no way came from that pig lol it tasted artificial..

Throughout our time we had and watched/witnessed the GREAT… I’ll say it again.. THE GREAT.. customer service given by the two ladies on Sunday 5th May! The interaction that one of the waitresses had with a family sitting near us was amazing! Overall the food was cool definitely filled the spot and the customer service was GREAT, so we will definitely be...

Really nice pub with good food let down by poor customer service on several occasions. Tried to book a table for my birthday for a large party and was told that the manager was too busy to deal with us and no one else could take the booking, so I had to email. Had to send two follow-up emails just to get a reply, seemed like they really didn’t want our custom.

Second time we went in for a Sunday roast, and after 2 of us had ordered they said the kitchen had closed for an hour to catch up on orders, leaving half of us to wait while the others ate. They kept extending the wait until we eventually gave up after 2 hours of waiting and went to the Victoria instead.

Would put me off ever eating there again which is a shame, because the food is apparently good when it does arrive, and the pub always has a good atmosphere. The staff have either been rude or lazy every time I’ve...

We odered 2 fish and chips; one came with 8 chips, the other with a huge pile - clearly the chef couldn't be bothered to portion properly.

One of our party ordered mussels: 5 out of 12 were closed and thus inedible, the chef clearly didn't care enough to check them before sending them out.

I asked for ketchup; within the 4 feet from our table to the bar the waiter forgot and I had to get it myself - when I mentioned it after we'd finished he just shrugged, not at all bothered.

No-one cared to enquire how our food was, even though the place was very quiet.

I've had similarly poor experiences in their sister pub:- I think the owners need to employ a competent manger that inspires employee pride in their role rather than the complacency and sloppy customer service that is currently given to...
