If you like a casual atmosphere, hearty (&spicy if requested) food, big portions, cheap alcohol and sourdough bread, then you will probably love this place. Great for early stage dating - you know you are ready to step up the relationship when you are comfortable eating with your hands and bare with seeing the other person eat ribs. In winter, the warm decor and lighting inside makes it a great place to go to on a weekday evening (not as crowded as weekends). In summer, fight for the two tables outside, in the shade overlooking a small park. For my boyfriend (big big big foodie) and I this is the place to go for a comfy night out - and we both recommend it to whoever visits London. I must confess we are hooked on the 2 menu items we tried first and order the same thing every time we go - lamb ribs and spicy lamb stew (I think they are items 12 and 17 on the , but don't quote me). However, they have plenty of beef, chicken, vegetarian options - maybe a bit too many which makes decision making hard. Staff is amazingly warm and friendly - so much that you wish they were your neighbors. Enjoy!

In search of a new experience - this was a spontaneous take away find that is now on my list to visit in person! Our first time eating Ethiopian food and I'm a fan! We got the recommended vegetarian set for 2ppl plus an additional (gluten free) teff flour injera to try (the darker flatbread). The portion was more than enough for 2 to share with a selection of 8-10 different dishes with 2 large injera. The food was really tasty, spicy and aromatic. (spicy flavours, this option wasn't spicy hot) As it was a take away, whilst waiting for delivery, we got a bit 'into the experience' and watched a video on how to plate up and eat injera. I would recommend based on both taste and variety, I'm not sure on price as my first time, although other reviews say it is reasonable for the food and service. I'll be excited to try this restaurant again. Available on both uber eats and deliveroo. The delivery on Saturday night was around 50min. Arrived hot. June2021

The restaurant is in the shadows of the stadium of Premier League strugglers Arsenal, and was a really interesting dining experience! Neither of us had tried Ethiopian cuisine before, and this felt very authentic - we enjoyed not being given cutlery and were keen to eat with our hands and this felt like a really enjoyable part of the experience. Our dishes all came in a big plate for sharing, and we especially enjoyed the little vegetable sides. The meat dishes were a little sweet for our tastes and could have done with a touch more spice, but it was good to try something new! Service wasnt great, and we waited about an hour to eat, and a coffee was also forgotten, but all in all this was an enjoyable meal and was definitely good value at around £60 for two including several drinks.

We went for a late Sunday lunch. This was my second visit to an Ethiopian restaurant, first time in London. Don't get discouraged by the exterior, interior is nicely decorated with depictions from Ethiopian culture. We were quickly seated, although the restaurant was quite packed at the time. The staff was very nice and attentive. I asked about their special honey wine - Tej and the server was nice enough to bring me a little glass to sample it. The food was delicious - we had both meat (lamb) dish and a vegetarian dish, both served with an injera (Ethiopian "flatbread"). The portions were actually quite large and we were not able to eat it all, so the staff was nice enough to ask us if we wanted the rest of our food packed to go. All in all we paid little over 20 pounds for two drinks and two dishes, which is quite a bargain for London. We were very satisfied - whether you already tried Ethiopian or you want to try it for the first time, this is definitely the...

Updated review 26.02.2022. One star because of the extremely rude customer service. I came to eat here second time since my first visit a week earlier was very pleasant. This time the food was good again but the customer service was outrageously rude. When I asked for a side dish, I was told that I am stressing them out, even if I patiently waited my turn while they were talking in phone. Next when I asked more water, I was told that I can't ask water all the time. It is quite unbelievably outrageous if a customer cannot ask more water in the restaurant, or that customer is blamed for asking water.

Review 19.02.2022: Four stars. My first visit. The food was delicious, well cooked and fresh. The customer service was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant is very cozy. My only objection is that the portions of stews in the vegan combination dish are very very small, and will leave you hungry even if it should be a main dish and priced...
