Edit January 2024: Unfortunately the restaurant has become terrible. It is dirty (the walls, tables, chairs, doors). The toilets are a disgrace, no improvement at all. The food is now mediocre, lacks depth. See photo: beef bibimbap, all gristle. Thoroughly unpleasant experience. We had it removed from our bill. They add a service charge even though you order online and they simply bring the food to the table!!! It seems they have opened so many new locations, standards have slipped across the board. Previous review: Food is good, considering it is a small chain restaurant. The issue is with the downstairs seating which is unwelcoming, cold and feels like a dungeon. Very pedantic about bookings (1h and 30 minutes limit). Without a booking it is hard to eat, gets packed quickly on rush times. BIG ISSUE are the toilets, they need more attention: cleaning and supplies. It is every time we visit that both toilets are not up to standard.

I dined here on Friday night for dinner and drinks with two friend’s. I have never been to a Korean restaurant before and Yori Clapham Junction did not disappoint me! I am planning to take my daughter when I go back to taste the delicious food. We had a Pajeon to start which was light and fluffy while feeding our appetite. The Vegetable Bibimbab was full of flavour and a great portion to share between three people. I loved it so much I ordered another one which two of us shared after the Korean Barbecue. We had the Yori selection which was more than enough for three of us. We all enjoyed preparing are own meat to our liking. All of the staff were very friendly and our food all arrived promptly. I would also recommend the Soju grape- it was just what was needed on a Friday night after a long week at work.

My hunt for tasty authentic Korean food in South London continues. Craving for a good spicy tofu soup (Soondubu jigae), so made a quick lunch stop here. Rating one star for this being served quickly, another when it’s still hot and a 3rd star for fairly ok service as one should expect. Taking one star away for the very blah dish as the photo shows. Apart from tofu, a few random pieces of squid and nearly invisible mussels the dish lack ingredients of vegetables as you would expect of the classic dish. Not a sliver of spring onion was present, so that’s another star off. It’s not a dish that calls for luxurious ingredients. Yet the establishment managed to produce this dish in such poor value, won’t be coming back for more anytime soon.

Will never go to this place ever !!! My partner had made a reservation at 5pm on a Saturday for 3 people at 9pm that same day as they had availability. He received an email confirming this and also making him aware that he should watch out just in case they could cancel the reservation. Well we waited almost an hour after and there was still no email which we assumed out booking was confirmed. We live in North Greenwich which is almost an hour drive to this place and we wanted to go as he had good reviews. When we got there the lady made us aware that i booking had been cancelled and try say it was cancelled from our end which was obviously a lie. Then we checked our email we received a cancellation email at 8:33. Literally 27 minutes before our reservation. We was literally in the car on our way there. Then they try say to come back in 20 minutes. When it was freezing cold and raining. They expected us to be walking around in the cold. I refused and spoke to the manager. His only solution was to make us wait in the bar area downstairs. He took us there and I did say I wanted something at least in compensation he said yes. Well they took us downstairs and forgot about us as it was 9:30 and we was sipping on tap water. The worst thing was that we had to drive back home, spent gas for no reason and had to order take out because no restaurant was accepting walk ins and a lot of restaurants was closing. If it was not because of this reservation so late which they had the availability we could have gone somewhere else earlier. Literally our night was ruining because of the and they didn’t even bother to acknowledge there mistake by at least giving us complementary drinks or something....

Severe disappointment, over priced, non existent service and wires a health hazard.

We attended Yori in Clapham for my birthday meal and it was a real disappointment. There are power outlets with extension plugs all over the floor with wires traipsing all over the place, a definite trip hazard and the amount of power going to the extensions clearly doesn’t look safe as there are extension plugs within extension plugs.

We order the beef dumplings to start which were beautiful, an excellent dish I would recommend but lacked in dipping sauce. We also ordered the Yori Selection for the BBQ - The meat was lovely and tender but for the price I would say it definitely isn’t worth it, we were served around 5 pieces of lettuce and a teaspoon full of each of the condiments. All the prices that are on the Yori Website on the menu for Clapham are inflated highly inside the restaurant where you have to order from the QR code. For instance online it says the Yori Selection is £58 whereas inside it was £65, this is a big difference, when questioning this I was fobbed off with ‘online prices haven’t been updated’. The menu is hard to navigate via the QR code and froze multiple times. We were then charged a service charge which I never mind paying but seeing as we saw our server once when they bought over the food and drinks all at the same time I think we should have been able to choose whether to have this or not as there wasn’t much ‘service’ to charge for.

I wouldn’t recommend coming here at all and think there are a lot better Korean BBQ places out there that you could...

2ND FEEDBACK!⬇️ My first feedback is below... this is my 2nd additional feedback! These guys are quite arrogant. My husband and I asked for another size plate like what we had on our table as the ones given were too small for the kids. They sent one of our own over to us... 1 black guy they hired to tell us that they couldn't find any plates round the back! I had to chuckle and pretend I didn't hear him, I was so upset! I pay my money and you can't even provide a descent plate!

Not to mention they always bring us cold food!

((Seems you guys love to tell lies, second time lying to us! HAVE YOU NO SHAME))

I don't feel like they like black people in their restaurant as this is my second feedback and MY VERY LAST VISIT.

Dear black people, please let's eat at our own peoples restaurants where they will welcome us!

1ST FEEDBACK⬇️ This was an amazing find, was randomly driving past and decided to visit. Loved it and returned a few times including my daughters birthday.

Whilst I think its an amazing restaurant with lovely food, I'm giving a 3* because my son had cut his hand on something and so my husband asked the 1 of the Korean waiters for a plaster and she said they didn't have any.

I knew that wasn't true since as its a restaurant and all restaurants have first aid kits.

Decided to ask another waiter (Indian lady) and she was so happy to help and brought us 1.

It doesn't pay to be dishonest. I would of haven't 5* had...
