Spice Hut Maidstone — Restaurant in Maidstone

Came here on a Friday night with 3 other friends and had the most exceptionally average curry of my life, actually below exceptionally average. Not only was the curry naff, but the service was awful, it took around 1 hour 45 minutes for our food to arrive after sitting down, with the wait to be served to be long as well. The restaurant was definitely overcrowded and social distancing wasn't adhered to (Not that I care but this will bother some people) and the staff looked like they struggled to understand how to wear facemarks properly (Chin wearers), now if I have to legally wear a facemask when im not at my table now, I expect the staff to make the effort to. Sorry to sound like the male version of a Karen, but this was proper naff evening, better off getting one of those takeaway meal deals that the supermarkets offer. The one pro for the night is that the food was at least edible, and the staff bought out the poppadoms and dips as quick as anything as if they were going out of fashion.

PS... also a good place to come if you want to have more than 6 to a table, because they ignore that government law. They will ask to split the table in the middle by a few...

I visited the Spice Hut to order a takeaway a few weeks back, and it was one of the best Indian's I've had in a long time. I used to be a regular visitor to this restaurant many years ago, but I moved out of the area. We loved the takeaway so much that we returned for a meal in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. All went out of their way to make our son enjoy this experience.

We ordered Meat Thali's as these are something we can never find in any other restaurants. These offer such a great selection of food and just the right amount in each dish.

Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavour!

I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often, but having an occasional treat still works for us.

Never had food from there but will never ever order again!!!! Ordered food an hour later rang them as food still didn't arrived the women just shouted at me we very busy the delivery person just left be there soon and put the phone down before even checking the address. Rang 20 minutes later and the guy asked and said the delivery person just picked it up to which I said it's too late now so wanted to cancel the order I promise it will be there in 2 minutes but I cancelled anyway. 5 minutes later knock on the door he told the delivery person to still turn up and offer the food to me for just £10 so completely ignored what I asked.
