Black Rabbit Pub — Restaurant in Maldon

Went here last night for dinner with a friend. staff are nice, decor is cool but the food was awful which was so disappointing. Menu is predominantly Greek food so i ordered the Loaded Fries which was chicken yeeros, onions, bbq sauce and tsziki on a large portion of fries. the whole meal lacked flavour and was very bland the only thing that had any taste was the tzsiki. the chicken seemed to be prepare and bought in due to the perfect little cubes it was in. And it was all stone cold. my friend had the vegan burger which she said was nice but again her chips were stone cold. we seemed to be the only ones eating so its not like the kitchen was overwhelmed. wouldn't recommend for food, better off going to witherspoon, at least...

This pub is so beautiful and had a wonderful atmosphere, we did go during the rugby so was very busy but the staff was still smiling and making sure everyone needs were met. With the food I was really shocked they had a vegan menu which was huge along side an amazing normal menu! I went for the Mac and cheese veggie chicken burger with fake bacon and BBQ sauce, oh my word it was the best burger I have had in ages! Thank you so much!!! This is an unfair 4* only because can't do halves or would be 4.5 only reason being never had the food myself but looks and smells amazing pizzas look wow 😳. But child's play area inside (soft play area with tons of toys) and out! ( Small park and a sand pit with extra grassy area) amazing staff great quality booze even Pours a Madri in a chilled glass. If that don't sell it to you I don't know...
