Maldon King Kebab & Pizza — Restaurant in Maldon

Getting a delivery from this place is hit and miss. I’ve been using them for a few years and it’s just getting worse. Delivery drivers are rude and forcefully hand you the food. Once I told the driver the food was cold, and his response was “well it’s not exactly sunny and warm outside is it”. It takes well over an hour to get anything, and when you do get it the food is like rubber where it’s been sat under hot lights waiting for someone to deliver it, or it’s stone cold. Pizza is rarely hot as it’s not transported in bags to keep it hot and bottles of drinks are warm, never cold out of the fridge. When you do eventually get fed up of waiting an hour or so for something that you wouldn’t even put outside for the local cats and foxes, you are just told barefaced lies about why you haven’t got it when it’s blatantly been forgotten to be cooked or sat on the side and not been sent for delivery. I would just rather be told the truth and wait 2 hours for something that is worth the money you’re paying. I would respect that more. I don’t live that far away and there is no reason for the food to take as long as it does or be as cold and bad as it is when it eventually turns up.

I know how difficult things must be at times, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when it is busy, but the management don’t seem to organise very well. It’s a shame because when it’s right, it’s very good. But more often than not, it’s a very low standard.

On the flip side, the lady on the phone is lovely, and she must be sick to death of people calling and complaining to her when it’s not her fault.

As a final thought. I’m done with this place. Stop putting menus...

Ordered shish meat, chips, fried chicken, donner kebab, pizza and took it home, this was for me wife and two young kids. Came to about £38.

First of all my donner, they started packing my salad separately, which I thought was odd, I asked him to just throw it in with the kebab, but he said no he’ll put in separate box. I didn’t realize until I got home why the salad and meat came in separate boxes, it was because there was so much of it, I ordered the ‘medium’ kebab (the smallest they offer) and yet the amount I had was definitely more than other “large” kebabs I’ve had. The meat was good, the salad was crunchy and fresh, added their chili and garlic sauce, was great!

Wife ate the portion of shish meat and said was good, kids shared the pizza, we couldn’t even eat the chips (also a huge portion) and fried chicken as too full.

Ordered a large lamb shish had no problems before making it up for us . We rang up and asked if they could make it up he said no can’t we make it up said no one has had a problem before the man on the phone was extremely rude.

Had no problem with delivery before and due to being in a flat can’t get no signal but not a problem buzzing up before. Driver didn’t buzz our buzzer as we would of heard it so he rang us and due to bad signal couldn’t get through then sent us a rude texts messages saying brother your not getting a refund and a few other messages.

They sent the food back 30 mins later after we rang them the food was cold and no chilli sauce and or garlic mayo and wasn’t made up. I would be surprise if this how they acted to us they would spit in your food so we couldn’t eat it I would avoid this rude place and why would you want to give your money to these...
