AKWAABA AFRICAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Manchester

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Akwabaa Restaurant in Manchester and I wanted to share my experience. The African food at this restaurant is truly exceptional and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore and enjoy different types of African cuisine.

The menu at Akwabaa offers a wide variety of dishes from countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, and more. The flavors were authentic and bold, and each dish was packed with delicious spices and ingredients that truly transported me to Africa with every bite. The presentation of the food was also top-notch, showcasing the care and attention to detail put into each dish.

In addition to the amazing food, the atmosphere at Akwabaa was warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that my dining experience was everything I hoped for. The restaurant itself was clean and well-decorated, further adding to the overall enjoyable experience.

I come there about once a month with a friend to escape the wife's "cooking" for a change!!! Lol!!!! I gave the ratings because of the following:- -The food is good but could be better because sometimes I find the meat/fish hard to chew and it appeared they were cooked separately for the various soups and sauces!! -The service, sometimes leaves a lot to be desired because it took ages to be served even the food was pre-ordered!!! We most times have to even ask for cutlery!! -I noticed the food prices have more than doubled in the last 18 months with smaller portions! -The premises used to be very cold and I hope the new premises will be an improvement. Hope the new premises will have top-notch toilet facilities because, in my view, such facilities determine the high standard of the premises. -Apart from the loud music the atmosphere is very good. I visited this restaurant today for the first time and I must say I'm very impressed with the service received and the food served. The food was exceptionally delicious with the right seasoning and flavours and the owner was very welcoming and friendly. I was new in the area and the owner was very helpful in helping me find my way to nearby shops.she went above and beyond for my daughter and I.
